    Thankyou for the input folks,nice to hear the views of people who have both witnessed the feat albeit even just trying lol & that of those who have an honest opinion on it..I think we all pretty much agree it would never of been easy if at all possible & perhaps a step to far for all but a tiny minority of running dogs & i think several lads have said about the terrain they seen them on & their raw power jumping 6ft fences,ditches etc & bounding up rock faces so not only stopping one & getting him over but possibly the hardest part would be catching the bloody thing!! C

    TC just a heads up of what I've found in my limited time taking a few pics whilst roaming the countryside,I've bought lenses Tamron,Sigma that fit the Canon but unless your going into the high end lenses by those manufacturers then Canon's equivalent are BETTER.A very sharp lens of Canons is the EF 28-70mm F3.5-4.5 mark 2 with the metal mount an old lens but it really is impressive,read the reviews bud in testing it almost equals that of the L Series lens of similar length.That and a 70-200mm F4 L Series is pretty much all you would need mate,ive fallen & broken half a dozen lenses whilst

    Hey up TC,if your not wanting to spend hundreds or thousands lol,a decent lens I've found for the Canon's is the EF 100-300mm F4-5.6 so not exactly a fast lens but it can produce half decent images even hand held without the need of a tripod etc,i picked one up for way less than a hundred quid off eBay,only downside I've found is the zoom creep lol,basically the lens extending when attached to the camera whilst carrying it..Here's a sample of what it takes buddy

    I've a 3/4 cur & I'd bet it's got as much drive if not more than 90% of ALL lurchers in this land ..It will be the shite Deerhound blood that would ruin the cross,they are no good for fuckall and that's a fact!!     I've a dog here that will retrieve a ball to hand all day long,will retrieve to hand lovely on the lamp,if it catches anything in the day (rarely) lol,it will not retrieve it an inch so if it catches out of sight your f****d lol..Thick b*****d it is ?

    The best hunters on THL have took the full spectrum of gear with their dogs & all single handed by the age of 8 months old..Just do as they say they do bud,it must be true what they say as there's hundreds of them who do it on here ?

    After f**k knows how many pages on here I've came to the conclusion that we as running dog enthusiasts are all a bunch of c**ts who couldn't agree whether it will get dark tonight let alone be unified in something on a far bigger scale..I must admit to have being one who just done my own thing in the past like Wilf & Arctic have said..At the end of the day we can all unite & try to right what's wrong & highly likely fail,do nothing which means inevitably failure or you can make a success of running your pooches,i don't need to tell you how to do that & if i do you really should

    I'd always choose a pup from a long line of hard worked lurchers above a pup from the litter sister to the best bitch in the land or litter brother to the best dog in the land if they didn't work no matter how well bred..I like to tip the odds in my favour & by worker to worker your doing that imo ✌
