Thanks mate,rifle is 6mmbr 26in barrel plus mod,the only reason for the distance was i was in the greatest vantage point available for an all round field of view. It is a seriously accurate rifle and the shot was well within its capabilities... 6

I've been night lambing for the last 3 weeks,a couple of times last week i heard a distant BOOM, posibly big guns at Otterburn???? This certainly set them off making a real racket... -

Lamb killer Up here in the borders we are all flat out lambing on the "In bye" ground with the hill sheep just about to begin, it is common to get the call from hill farmers when lambs start to go missing,but not as often with the stronger lowland cross bred flocks. It began last weekend when the boss came in saying he had a lamb missing,alarm bells started ringing when another 2 went a night later,so got a couple of guns together for a stake out at dusk, which proved fruitless,again at dawn same result, spin round with the lamp, still nothing,by mid week we where 7 down and it was a real c

Well done mate, we should all be doing our bit to get rid or at least thin them down a bit..... We are in a sceme up here in the borders, two settings have caught over a 100, all live catch though,just incase we catch a red...

Set a few Springers a couple of weeks ago and they have never failled,since setting them, these runs are behind the feed shed ,so plenty o traffic.. They dont seem to have twiged whats happening as they normally do, i guess its because they are hoisted well up out of the way of the run..

You trying to tell me she had 3 out of 3 on moles????? ive heard this boast on hares in the past, but on moles?? everybbody knows the sheer speed and turning ability of the mole, although they do lack in stamina,over the 1st 100yds i dont think there has been a dog born that could match thier explosive speed,dream on 6pointer

You not alone mate, we use the same place. usually takes a phone call to eventually get the cheque, funny its always been posted the day before you call. :realmad: theres no competition for them round here though. me to same dealer I dont use them very often, but have never had a problem with payment, i always try and go in Office hours so there is someone there.. I take it you guys are leaving them in the fridge?????

how the fck can you ask the farmer to pay for missing traps Fckin simple mate, other contractors go on with full tank of fuel and leave with full tank, this is the norm.. Why should it be any different for me????? leave with same ammount of traps i go on with.... Suppose its down to trust, like most things in life if you dont try and take the p*ss....

£10 an hour plus £5 per mole,farmer payes for any missing traps, due to four or two legged thieves.... 6pointer

I was going to +1 you on that mate, i use them in my 6br they are so accurate its just not funny .1s,but they are a varmint round, so maybe best left at that..... 32.2 grs of Varget does the trick with MY 6br 6

Anybody used the above, if so what brand of rings did you use?????? I have had one sent from the states,it is to go onto my browning gold semi auto, plan is to mount an aim point of some discription for next winters driven boar hunt in poland, have tried both Weaver and Warne rings , but niether will tighten enough to grip the rail which measures a fraction over 20mm. Any advice would be great Cheers 6 Maybe should be moved to OPTICS??????

Think you could be suprised how old you can enter them to deer,as long as the dog is obedient,prepared to stay for long periods etc a down side to labs is they are not all prepared to mix it if they have to.. Kim has it all in front of her ,but she was bred for the job so her's hopeing 6
