Theres not a single man in the forces who has any idea how to trap or snare anything worth a f**k.lets hope they never get into the position where they may need to rely on staying alive using there trapping skills
I saw Ray Mears being showed how to snare squirrels by a guy in the S.A.S(An instructer ),the f****r didnt have a clue
Mind you,if you ever need a fire that Ray Mears is the man,mind you,you will have f**k all to cook on it

When it came to skinning,scraping,stretching and boarding it could be done quite quickly with practice.I can skin a fox in five mins,scrape in fifteen and then i would wash it in luke warm water and a touch of bleach.After that i would thoroughly rinse the pelt in warm water then hang it on the line to dry.
Then it was just a matter of tretching the pelt onto a board then standing it in the corner of the kitchen to air dry.There would be a pelt iether side of the board and you could use two or three boards.There was nothing put onto the pelt to help it dry,just air dr
