  3. It takes plenty of daytime practice to run a hundred yard long net proficiently in the dark.I speak from 25years experience and quite a few tangled nets.Stupid things like buttons and zips can ruin a nights netting.Even your foot wear has to be none tangle, like wellies or lace hole boots. I remember years ago going to net a wood about 15 miles from my house.I went with a guy who was supposed to know what he was doing Any way he turned up with what you could just about call a longnet that was tied onto some hazel poles that would hold a house up.He had a barbour jacket on with a buckle belt a

  16. one wet morning years ago me and an old mate of mine went to check a few mole traps and a few fox wires. When we got to the mole traps one of the traps had gone and we could see fox footings around the area in the wet grass. We checked the rest of the mole traps then crossed the field to check the fox wires. The snares where set through a hawthorn hedge and as we approached one of the snares we could see fox tracks in the wet grass heading straight to the corner of the field where there was a snare waiting. We were fully expecting a fox in the snare but to our suprize there was a mole trap pe

  20. That was very interesting and informative patrick, thank you very much Like hear it sounds like most of your trappers and snarers do it because its deeply imbedded in them and they love to snare and trap, they obviously dont do it to become rich Can i just say that the map didnt come up on that link
  21. Modern methods of fox snaring stops any kind of none target animals being snared accidently and suffering.A very simple attachement added to a fox snare called a BRAKEAWAY has stopped ALL animal suffering because this small attachement is just strong enough to hold a fox but no where near strong enough to hold an otter, deer or badger. When using a BREAKAWAY in conjunction with a DEER STOP a modern fox snare is very target specific and a MUST in professional fox control When i am setting snares in areas where there is even a slim chance of catching a none target animal like a badger i fit BR
