  1. Theres a (snare set up) on "Mink Continued" Duckwing
  2. They arent normal snares Duckwing.They are made to spring onto the Minks neck as soon as it touches the noose.The snares are highly loaded and only has to be touched to fire
  3. Wear a pair of gloves and brake its neck doddsy
  4. I also had a few fox in wires today And a squirrel in a mink wire,they are a pest when your snaring mink By the way,that coat makes me look massive ime only twelve and a half stone
  5. I set a few snares and a few bodygrips when the floods went down the day before yesterday.The pictures shows the big dog mink in a snare and still alive this morning.I also found some bitch mink tracks so ive left a couple of wires set......

Badgers are always snared around the neck and open the brake aways easily.Deer can be caught iether by the foot or by the neck.We use stops that are positioned on the snare (8"-9" from the eye) so a deers foot can slip out of the noose if caught.The brake away comes into action if the deer gets neck snared We have a large population of Badgers over hear and they are heavily protected which is why we use brake aways

  12. All my fingers and toes are crossed that you get the snaring back.I was wondering on what grounds are they trying to *** snaring Hornhunter????... I think that snaring over hear in England isnt to many years from being banned.Theres far too many do gooders chipping in with there two penneth worth trying to say how cruel snaring is....... How much would a *** effect your catch rate Hornhunter.Could you manage with foot holds or would you really struggle to take the number of coyotes that you do now?????
  13. Beautiful pelts there,do you fetch less money for the yellow coyotes Hornhunter????? Dont you fancy a week or two over hear on our red fox and shoot some Roe deer next season.Then maybe i could have a trip over there :whistle:
  14. What sort of weight did these coyote/wolf crosses go to Hornhunter.They must have gone quite heavy as i beleive that in parts of america and canada coyotes can go to 50-60 pounds . What a thing to snare,you lucky sod hornhunter.Can i ask what sort of prices are you fetching for those lovely looking pelts? P.S,ime not sure of weights of coyotes and i could have them all wrong
  15. I only caught the back end of the Fur trade and sold the pelts i got through a mate of mine.He gave me £20 a pelt. My mates best price was around £60 for a pelt finnishes to a very high standard I just wish those days where back,ide make a few bob extra each season
  16. My mate has been over to Canada snaring Coyote and trapping Beaver.They snared alot of Coyotes under fences.I must admit ide really love to snare Coyotes.Good luck Hornhunter

  20. Putting pelts through the tumble dryer really speeds things up and they come out looking top notch I do it when the Dragon is out :kiss:
  21. Moley,for a full time pester you really dont help out much on these threads but DO constantly take the piss.I cant remember one single post that you tried to help anyone,now do me a favour and go pester some one else
