  3. Yeahs thats not a bad idea. But when standing up your legs work like shock absorbers and i find its easier standing when using the shotgun on the move.
  4. Last night we cut the rear door in half and attached it back on. Much more useful as we can now put stuff in the back! Willum we thought about removing the seat, but we just stand on it instead! plenty of room to have 2 guns standing up
  5. We have a fourtrak on the farm/shoot. And we decided that this year we would modify it to make it more suitable for lamping. Beauty of it is, the roof unbolted so if we want we can put it back on in the winter. I can already tell what your thinking, the people in the back will get wet. Doesnt bother me, im the driver [/img] Means the shooter in the back has a clear shot in any direction. It also does a good job of pulling the feed trailer
  6. Depends if it is as sound as he says! But if it is, not a bad price mate ATB Sam
  7. Just been to the funeral of the best known man in our village. A good send off for a good old fen boy.

  8. I find the 12 bore sipes to be a superb cartridge. Particularly for high driven pheasants and high pigeons. Just from my own experiences with them. Sam
  9. We're having a drought in cambridgeshire and we cant get water to our birds quick enough!! ATB sam
  10. Besides from all the other poults and ex layers i have, i currently have 3 lots of young pheasants. They are 4 months (20), 3 months (70) and 2 months old (25). At the moment they are in 3 diffent smallish pens. We have a large pen standing empty and was checking its alright to combine them all. The reason i ask is that someone mentioned to me they may spread disease to each other. I personally dont agree but i could be wrong. Anyone want to confirm i can combine them? Sam
  11. 1) its not 2)only in some cases (generally not) 3)pain in the arse to get in and out of and put things in 4)granted, if you can get stuff up in there 5)you can have flotation tyres, leaving some not zero damage 6)possibly the problem 7)not all of them 8 ) struggle with your average gate 9)has turning circle of a bus) 10)is very heavy.... when you do get stuck on you zero tyres you may as well of taken a tractor and 10 furrow plough 11)very noisy 12)very obvious 13)very expensive 14)maintenance costs are huge back to the drawing board me thinks! Agreed!
  12. Would you post? or collection ony? Its just im in cambridge so it would be a fair drive! Sam
  13. My roof lights are wired direct to the battery. A feed from the battery to a relay, then from the relay feed to the lights, relay earth and feed to the switch. The lights earth through the light bar. You shouldnt need a new battery or altrernator. Just make sure you have an adequate fuse between the battery and relay! ATB Sam
  14. I'd recommend the joe irving book aswell.
  15. put more effort into stay and recall rather than heel work. But recall is by far the most important! Also like has been said its best if once they've flushed they dont give chase. Atb with it though
  16. spot on ross..... what crazy talk of discos...land crusers and land rovers..ect.. they just cut the place to rags....just before they get stuck.... a quad is quick....agile....and you have total freedom to shoot... But you get wet if its raining
  17. Well done mate. And nice looking lab ATB Sam
  18. This is what i use. Its great because the sunroof comes right off so someone can stand on the passenger seat and lamp from there. Also the tyres make short work of a muddy field/track. ATB Sam This was it before the tyres
  19. NOT EVERYONE HAS PERMISSION, WHO WANTS TO BE CAUGHT IN FIELD.DOGS CAN BE TRAINED AROUND MOTOR, MINE ARE 'SLIPPED' BY JUMPING OUT WINDOW WHEN I LET IT DOWN, JUMP BACK IN AS WELL. GOOD FOR FOXING, GET ON EM QUICKER. ALSO IF TOUGH RUN, YOU DONT LOSE TARGET IN BEAM. AND YOU DONT HAVE TO CARRY, LAMP, BATTERY, AND YOR KILLS, PLUS HOLD DOG LEAD. BATTERIES NEVER GO FLAT OR DIM.I DRIVE AROND FIELDS, BUT ON TRACKS OR STUBBLE, COMMON SENSE MATE WERE IN 21ST CENTURY, WHY MARCH FIELDS? I agree with you
