  1. Should be a good night this saturday make sure you get along. As Bosun said these are both great speakers and it'll be an intresting night, should raise some good money for the charities as theres plenty of good stuff on the auction, Shoot days on the patridge/pheasant, grouse and clays, signed books, boxes, collars leads, walking sticks etc.

  5. Agree with that, never had a whippet myself but used to have a run out with a lad probably 15 years ago that had a handy whippet dog that would take them single handed but there are much better Xs for the job

OH MY GOD I BET MY MAGLIGHT IS BRIGHTER HAHA i was out with vin and trigger a few week back,,, triger put his lightforce 170 on with a 30 w bulb in,,, i put my 170 on with 100 in it,,,, i tell you know i culd hardly tel the difrence TOMO does it keep the beam as tight as the 100w same sort of brightness/distance ? VIN how much longer battery times have you noticed dropping to the 30w
  9. Ali, Heard Alisons out of action at the minute she took on a biter and ended up in a bad way, she usually avoids them but is getting depserate these days as she gets older and balder.

  11. Was out a couple of times last week with a pack that have some bloodhound xs, there are some about being hunted. Also earlier in the month was at a meet of pure bloodhounds when they hit the line of the runner they have got cracking voices on them

  19. Just to add to the lad that asked depends also on the land you hunt, a lot of my land contains a lot of tightly planted forestry blocks and find that a strong cold wind drives them to ground as they can't get shelter from it like they can in other conditions.
  20. I've known/seen whippet take fox single handed but I'm going back probably 15 years and from memory that dog was 18-19" it took them single handed regularly. Obviously a bullX or similar stamped dog is going to be more capable of doing bigger numbers on a regular basis/draw etc. But the original question was can whippets take fox single handed and my answer to that is yes the right ones can.
