unless you are just coarsing and have dogs on slip that happen's all the time the dogs won't just stand there and watch another coarse it when we up the moors hunting rabbits we often have 3/4 lurchers and couple of terriers if a hare was to get up im pretty sure the lot will be on it -
I have a young lurcher and i noticed a few weeks ago stiff lameness to his back right leg as if it was a dead leg, so i have gave him 2 weeks total rest and 2 weeks of very short walks and he is still showing the same type of lameness. I will be taking him to a greyhound vet and vet for xray's, but I am just wondering if anyone has any experience with hip Dysplasia as this seems to be my worst case scenario Cheers Micky

My father had a Alsation/grey when I was a little nipper, the dog was a hunting machine, endless stamina, great prey drive, he stood about 25tts nice thick boned dog never caught many hares but loved the fox he had no reverse gear.... so maybe one day i may think about getting one

1)unless your a f****n idiot and dont build it properly the dog cannot hang itself 2) nothing more to add there lol 3)they wont move onto them until next summer,be a bit pointless making them now wouldnt it? the question really is to people who have tried it;are your lurchers robust enough to live like this?
