  1. looks like an absolute beauty.atb for the new season
  2. thats wat i hate about breeding ferrets, theres always some n*b head who woant look after them but how do you know that when they take them, the fetch good money where i live and if in my mind if people are willing to pay good money then theres a better chance they will look after it better,i will give some kits to my mates and people i know and sell the rest because if i offer them out for free then in my experiance theres always some pr*ck going to come and take one and not look after it + i get a bit of money towards food etc.i know some people done agree with selling kits for money but thats
  3. i would,it can work but they mite not get on,like people really, like everyone else says, try it and see, best of luck
  4. im no big dog expert but i do a bit and i find that bitches settle into work quicker (not always the case).i would let it see another experianced dog running so it can have a look,iv just got back from lamping now and we took a 9month pup and he is very much the same as your pup by the sounds of it,i dont normally lamp out of season but we have just got a 3yr old bitch of a guy on here and she has been in kennel since last september and very unfit so we are just gettin her running again for the new season, very keyne but hopfully your pup will calm down really soon, best of luck with him!!

  8. the more i get positive feed back the more it sounds a good idea as you said about keeping the dog close is this hard to do ? ive only kept lurchers and terriers and this is my first venture in to gun dogs and i want to try and get it right. my whippet is short of being 12 month old quick to learn and keen when would be the right time to get a pup ( i'd rather start with a pup and something older ) what would you suggest. happy hunting hs hi best thing to do in my opinion is to purchase one of the gundog training books any thing by keith erlandson.and definatley start with a pup wich afte
  9. thanks v max are they easy to train ? i dont want a spot on gun dog just some thing that will bush and be busy flushing. Ive read some past topic and some say they are head stronge and some say they are a bit timid or is that the difference between show and work stuff . cockers are bang on for bushing,we use them with whippets,my blue bitch should be pregnant but its early days yet but if she is and you want a pup im in sheffield.i put her to a chocolate dog and the both have excellent peds.they respond really well to training and have big balls for rammin through brambles and scrub etc.
  10. if it was me i would check he teeth, hope you get him sorted!
  11. just keep on at them, they will buckle eventually and as for looking after them!!! easy!! fresh water and food every day and plenty of attention and handeling, try and build them a run if possible so you can leave them to excersize.thats it.simples, hope it works out for you atb

  15. well to be honest i think he has been trying to get a bit of weight on it,its thin even for a whippet but it eats enough,he just dosent put any weight on,anyway thanks for the info.
  16. yer its got to have them off because it can cause cancer,i was just wondering if it would still work ok or will it just get fat or what?
  17. alrite mate, when im refilling the bottles i stick my little finger in the top of the bottle and like hook it round and turn the bottle so it like cleans all the green crap off the top of the bottle but....i do have small girl like hands so that may not work for you.atb
  18. my mate has got a 9month old laguna whippet, and it still has no balls,he had to go to the vets yesterday to get his new bitch tagged so he took the dog along so she could have a look as there has been a bit of discharge coming out of the end last couple of weeks, anyway we had heard about this problem with whippets and the vet said he would have to be castrated!so i was just woundering has anyone seen this before and will the pup be any use once it has been castrated? atb
