thanks for the input courser. whats the current state of the ALC ? current members ? If the CLA did not recognise the need for the ALC to attend maybe its time to shake things up a little. Presumably you have seen my email to the CLA and Tim's response ?

I had never even heard of the ALC until this thread. Never knew you existed. That must say something? I would be happy to make a monthly or annual donation to a club fighting our corner as I'm sure many others would be. and with the greatest of respect all that comes up on a google search for the ALC is an archived document. By Tim Bonner's own admission, the CLA do little to promote lurcher work.

I can see folk may have tried this before and found it hard. Thats no reason to not try again. The only thing i ever got free needed a good course of antibiotics to shift it WHO WANTS TO BE INVOLVED ? message me with an area of the country your'e in and an email address (i'll send mine by return). We can then decide how those involved want to go about it

where did this project stumble ? i think we can get far too deep into stuff and it can make it more complicated than it needs to be. At the minute we have an invite to put our point across to the CA. Lets take it with both hands

Yes, I'm a sucker for trying to do something to promote hunting in a favourable light. I'm not holding my breath though, as I think we need someone at the helm with the charisma, energy and long term drive for our efforts to produce anything meaningful and permanent. Anything like this needs a structured approach, masses of commitment and time and dare I say it money? To produce anything similar to BASC, MAFH, NGO etc etc we need more than just great ideas. nice one penny. who needs to be involved ??
