When I was looking to get a bull cross a couple of years ago, I looked about for 1/4 bull but would have settled for 3/8. It all depends on how they chuck really. Gameness in the bull sense is lost the moment you cross. I don't think you can fault greys and whippets gameness (different sense of the word this time) but I think the bull adds that desire, that inability to feel pain to the point of loving it, the physical strength and structure that enables them to work fox after fox, night after night. That was the day after the Mandalay Bay incident wasn't it? Rocky had spent all night on the drink and ended up flushing a poofters clothes down the toilet (don't ask!) Were we in Flagstaff that night mate? If I remember rightly we'd gone to see some game birds(penguins! ) but ended up there for some reason. We stopped at some motel or other next to a railtrack and were checking in reception. Tried to put a few "whippets" over my little bull bitch, but we had no joy. We tried AI too, but the dog I used turned out to be a jaffa. The size was a problem as my girl is only 16" and I wanted to use hard blood, but there are ways around that. The aggression was another one, but that can be overcome too. Baileys, white maltesers and My Girl on video usually do the trick
