  1. I'm going to be taking my collie cross when I move over there later this year. I've been budgeting for about £3,000 from what I remember when Bullcat took his bulldog over.
  2. Not trying to piss on your chips or anything, but would they be equal to a game bulldog put over a good greyhound? As I say, not trying to pick holes.....just trying to understand the what the craic is. black stuff
  3. I have the Alken coursing series on my wall at home and they are doubled up on the hares just as competitive coursing is these days so I assume it was much the same craic then. As for the red stags....well I think it's been done
  4. When you say they would be the business on toothed quarry, what benefits would they have over the dogs that are already doing it? I personally can't see any. JMO
  5. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...?showtopic=3957 The Neo is as recreated as the Cane Corso so that bit about Julius Caesar is just wishful thinking. The Romans did take mastiffs back, but you can bet your last penny they weren't what we know as Neos today. Not knocking Neopolitans though. I've seen some very good cross bred Neos over the years and I know some lads who have some very good pure dogs.

  10. The very last thing you want is a dog that will take a fight to the boar. That's a quick way to lose a dog.

I've hunted in a fair few countries on some unusual-ish game and I've loved it, especially the pigs, but to me there's nothing better than a day out ferreting or raking about hedgerows. I'm really going to miss that when I get to Australia
  14. what cross was meg straight wheaten cross

  16. You did the right thing mate, hard as it may have been
  17. Are you talking about earth work? Those breeds are a bit big for all that and can't be compared with the Fells/Lakies/Patts etc. There are working Welsh terriers on the continent which I've seen at trials, but they're mostly used like the Jagd's ie. trailing, bailing, hunting up and also the earth trials.
  18. Who's that boer sounding lass with long dark hair? Uhlenbroek or something? She'd get my vote
  19. Laserlite....but the wiring is f*****g terrible. Strip it all out and either do it yourself or get someone to do it for you.
  20. I had a red dog out of his gear and he worked ok on fox. Not the sharpest tool in the box though and he was a fighter rather than a boxer...if you know what I mean.
  21. My old Meg was only 20" and she was good on things a little bit bigger than rabbits I don't reckon your dog will have any bother, certainly not size wise.
  22. some head on that dog seen a few nice russells on here lately
