  1. I also have a 21 yr old cat he is scruffy & a bit thin, but like this woman's he is fit & well, they make themselves unpopular with people by doing stuff like this, i wonder if they would have pts if the cat was found to have had a microhip or would that have even been checked,
  2. personally i would feed 4 small meat meals a day they will come on a treat
  3. personally i wouldnt bother , just seperate them, if you leave them in all night you will probably find the newbie in a state tomorrow & most likely very scared when you go to pick her up If the newbie is releasing her scent glands , she is scared & doing it to ward off the other jill,
  4. I was advised to feed a skitty dog on meat & pasta and i did, it clamed down within a week i would also feed my ferrets on meat If you buy meat fit for human consumtion its should be ok fed raw, the dry stuff fed to high in protein sends them loopy
  5. AC/DC, The Who, Pink Floyd, Johnny Cash, odd singles here and there over the last 30 yrs as well
  6. Why not get them some frozen chicken peices, mine love them, just a bag from somewhere like iceland or farmfoods will do, as long as they are defrosted properly
  7. I have a real issue with people just feeding tiny kits ferret complete, its not enough & they dont come on physically & mentally imo. Ferret kits should have meat raw & plenty of it, i would allow a bowl of complete kibble in the hutch at all times, but its meat for me everytime. Kits who are just fed on ferret complete food are 99.9% of the time hungry hence the amount of ferret owners cribbing about kits biting & drawing blood, they need meat simple as that, i also think complete food makes them hyper & at times uncontrolable , i know a kit who wont play is a
  8. has she lived on her own untill you put her in the court, if so i would forget it, thats a reason i dont keep jills cant be doing with the fights, if she is happy living alone i would leave her, jills can be right stroppy cows when they want to be
  9. is the kit hob ragging her my 2 are 15 weeks old & will be castrated very soon as they are now ripping at each other leaving scabs on each others backs or if the jill is in season it may be hormonal , has she been brought out of season this year ?
  10. does what your jill have look like any of the photo examples though ? or is the coat generally thinning from the back end & up the body towards the head
  11. try this http://www.dhpe.org/infect/ringworm.html
  12. Well it would be difficult for them to think wouldnt it, they dont have a brain cell between them :11: muppets
  13. When you find the twats give them a good kicking from me
  14. there new dvd pulse is worth getting, its over 4 hours running time , i got it for my bloke from WH Smith online, it even sounds good on our crappy telly, worth getting if you like them

    Tripe?

i have fed minced raw tripe to any ferrets who were a little skinny & they love it, one thing i noticed was no stink, i brought it frozen and i think it was made by baxters , but i could be wrong on the name
  16. Well i am not sure if gastro type compliants can pass from human to animal or animal to human & also if it crosses from one species to another, as you say dog to ferret or vice verser, but any animal chucking up or has the shits needs to see a vet pdq
  17. there appears to be an illness going round, its not affecting all ferrets in the same home, symptoms are vomiting & watery poo, some people have also had there ferrets with green poo, as far as i know antibiotics have been used , several different people from different parts of the uk have reported the same symptoms in the last week, i dont think any ferrets have died so far But taking the ferret to the vet is a must
  18. Maybe because a dog is seen as mans best friend is the reason people get uptight when things like this happen, i dont think its any more barbaric than a salmon being killed using a priest, difference is salmon dont sit there with there head on your knee
  19. SO WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU CLASS AS A NYMPHO? I was wondering the same myself
  20. I agree Bob, i think they are all different & they should be allowed to mature, i favour hobs personally and wouldnt get them castrated untill they are at least 6 months old so would probably introduce them with a seasoned worker after there castration, in my case it would be around christmas time allowing them to recover fully from there operation , that would be my choice. My pair are very hormonal at the moment & have marked each others necks where they have been very rough with each other but they have no visable signs of any balls yet, but as they live inside with me i am able
  21. I dont go out to work on an empty stomach so my ferrets wont either
  22. I agree with Ricky. Iv had the same results, excellent workers firts time round and lasted for years to come. Dont forget, polecats in the wild, if they dont hunt in their first year, they starve to death!! Think about that one. Frank. But ferrets are domesticated polecats are not
  23. My 2 ferret were born 1st of may and i wouldnt work them untill around christmas, allow them time to mature, all my 2 do is play with each other, i dont think at this stage they will be of much use , would it not be better to take them out with a mature ferret who knows the ropes, i dont like the idea of 13 week old kits working it dosent seem right, If you know your kits you should know the point they stop being kits & become adults, my 2 still look like kits & behave like them as well
  24. I crated my terrier 10 yrs ago as a pup, apart from what you have already pointed out about it being the pup's bit of security i found it invaluable especially in the mornings when getting the kids off to school, the last thing you want is a pup racing round the kitchen when you doing breakfast, thats how they get trodden on
