  2. Thanks for that , i will at least know what to do for next year now
  3. I have grave doubts that i would place my face near a biting ferret I know i wouldnt thats a fact

  5. but hanging on to the ferret with the free hand would i would naturally support the ferret with my other hand not let it dangle there
  6. My face is the last place i would put an aggitated ferret anywhere near
  7. Its been about 16 weeks since i got loads of mating toad pics , then a while after i got the tadpoles , now can i expect to see them any further developed or is it to late , i do look almost daily in the pond where they spawned
  8. cheers kay, is there any way to stop it? because i want to get into showing her and i think this would ruin my chances. she is the one in my profile picture and this only started to happen about 6 weeks ago. Raiderboy it shouldnt make any difference when showing , imo any judge who made a song & dance over it shouldnt be doing the job in the first place
  9. they call it rats tail , its quite common in ferrets nothing to worry about
  10. There both lovely dogs , the males coming out his shell a bit now , he gets stressed very easily & licks a lot , a few months ago the blaze on his chest was a horrible orange colour where he had been licking it , think its such a massive change for him living here & has taken a lot longer for him to settle properly
  11. I had an evening off work so thought as it has cleared up a bit here weather wise , it would be a good time to walk the dogs before dark, just a few photos of both dogs , Rob is looking a lot better since he has shed his tatty old jacket Still a little bit to get off him this week & a bit of pampering will see him looking good as new talk about pose , little tart probably the only decent photo i have of him, looking handsome i like this picture of him watching the kids play she hates the camera
  12. You will find no lady gardens in the ferreting section
  13. Just play it by ear , i kept 2 brothers together from kits all year round , no problems with them, have had others half kill each other though, sometimes it works , sometimes it dont
  14. Were you expecting to see a disembouled rabbit
  15. Must admit i favour hobs to jills , thats why i now have 5 jills not quite sure how that came about , they look belters & i think your going to have many happy hours ferreting with them , the little one on the right looks a little sod already , look at that attitude Love it
  16. I should bloody well think so , anyone who leaves any animal shut in a car on the hottest day of the year to die should be shot personally would the prick have left a baby in his car ?
  17. Very sorry to hear you lost both kits , all you can do is put it down to experience , i agrre that any you get need to be healthy , i will get slated for saying this but the kits in the avatar just didnt look healthy , they really should have been nice plump little things . Nothing you did , just one of them things , i hope you find a pair of good strong ones to bring on , good luck
  18. I probably watch no more than a couple of hours tv a month , then it has to be something i really want to watch
  19. Think ,most dogs will get some knocks & scars during there working life, goes with the territory, perhaps your friend likes being seen with a battered looking scared dog because it makes him look hard
  20. Hold a nice bit of fresh rabbit a few feet from him, he will find you , get him used to you giving him nice things , just call his name at the same time, soon get the hang of it, there clever little buggers
  21. Well done Kids & dogs , great to see them with the dogs i do like the bigger dog , very appealing
  22. Kits develop at differnt rates , let them go when there independent of there mother totally, racing about , eating drinking on there own kits huddled together in a corner & doing little else arnt ready to go to new homes in my opinion , see far to many in new homes with inexperienced owners left wondering what the hell to do with them when they should still be with there mothers
  23. if the jill will tollerate him , and if he is still up for the job then no harm in asking the hobs owner what they think, is the swelling huge ?
  24. very probably yes , wont be long before they start to go out naturally now anyway , nights are drawing in
