The camera i used has a fixed lense they come right up to you , i wouldnt have got such close up if they had been out a far way as the camera only zooms 4 times , mind i need stuff under my nose to see it I like you pic as it is a nice overall photo

I spent all morning waiting for the swans to appear & nearly ran out of bread good job i kept a few slices back for them, the cob was very fiesty but he allowed me to take a few pics before he got back in the water & escourted his lovely Mrs & kids away to the other side of the lake , wish i could have got some better photos of them , there was 5 a few months back when i took photos of them, theres 2 left now , better than none

The kits are about 9 / 10 weeks now & the silver jill is last years young

Its doing my head in , cant understand why yesterday i got the photos off the card & today i cant , i am getting this auto play thing come up is that loading the pics into the folder or something else thats going to piss me off ?

Its me thats confused at the moment normaly when i incert the card it comes up asking if i want the pics to load to picasa , which i always opt for, that isnt happening now for some reason

I will try that the new box with the open folder keep popping up anyway when i put the card in the front of the pc , so i will just leave it a while & see if anything happens

So i have to wait untill the photos load into the folder then ?

I have a camera with an olympus 128mg card that i stick in the front of the pc & i get the photos off it that way, well today its not playing, keep getting a seperate box come up removable disc H & an empty folder inside it saying DCIM , i have no idea how to correct this & dont have a cable to shove in the camera to get them off the device that way , any ideas what may be the problem

Yes they are both grainy, what ISO were they on...?? SINDASOX The iso was on 160

I think there are more genuine people on here than idiots , sadly its the latter who seem to be in the limelight rather than the people who bend over backwards to help others, give praise where its due i say

I would like to thank Mally who took the trouble to explain the settings on my camera & gave me some sugestions to set the camera to & i managed to take a few photos using the settings . I now understand a little bit better what is probably the best settings to have on the camera on the manual setting which i managed to take these few pics on , room for improvment still but at least a little clearer in my head now Thanks very much

The practice i have been using the last few years is primarily an equine practice , but they started a small animal practice some years ago, more than happy with the service i have had & the prices arnt ridiculas

Hi there Thanks for that , this is an old Olympus , basically a bridge camera i am slowly getting my self sorted , all i needed was to understand this aperture thing which i think i do now at least the basic concept of it anyway Its really hard being used to a point & shoot & just clicking away , cant do it with this , very much a learning curve , I am not sure if this camera has an auto setting to be honest , probably better if it dosent as i need to do it the hard way to learn

Thanks Sean its this iso & white ballence thing i just dont get , i am trying to find a few tutorials on line to try to get my head round what it means I wil see if i cant set the camera to the setting you sugest & try it in the morning i was spitting venum as i could see a swan & a cygnet riding on its back through the view finder & then i looked at the preview & could have cryed The dam thing wont beat me if its the last thing i do

If the other jill has been mothering the skinny jill to the point where she has been stopping her eating which i have witnessed here several times that may account for why she is thin if you have seperated them watch if she is eating , another posibility is her mouth may be sore so check it, loose tooth that kind of thing, or a bit of bone lodged in the mouth making it uncomfortable Now there seperated she can be watch & you will see if she is eating or not
