What your mom heard was probably a wolf ferret hybrid , sure someone on here tried to breed them , if she sayes no then she sayes no, wait till your older to get one -
I like the smell & as i smell of ferrets most of the time you dont notice it, other people do sometimes , but thats there problem , dont have time to keep changing clothes

Funny you should say that, only one of my jills has moulted fully into her summer coat, and one of my hobs is just starting! My adult is nice & tidy looking now , you just get the coat right & they shed back to the winter coat

I think the old saying '' put the best to the best to get the best '' still applies , suppose same as any young animal , you want bright eyed & alert , it is tempting to take weak stock out of pity , think you harden to it over the years , , if your ferrets are for working then you want robust animals that will serve you well i see no reason why your new kits wont make good hard working animals in the future

if you suspect kits arnt as old as the folks selling them tell you , walk away , same as sickly looking kits , its just heartache when you try the best for them & they still dont make it

yea i am like i thought it was fine,lol,but tha twat had me thinking i was doing wrong by doing that like...could i give them a chick every other day or anything as i dont get out every week to give them rabbit like its only when i get out on the field they get rabbit realy or any meat for that matter,what would be the best meat to start to add into their diet and how often...sorry if im being a pain in the ass lol Lots of people feed chicks , i personally dont but i think that will be fine with the kibble as well ok no probs thanks...what red meat would you recomend lol i wouldn

Kibbles just made for convenience basicaly , if your feeding rabbit already & kibble that is fine

As ferrets are obligate carnivores they are designed to eat raw meat so that should answer your question, lets face it kibble hasnt been around for ever

I think they need whole carcass personally not chunks of muscle rich meat , so adding rabbits fine , some folks think the only meat on the planet is cling film wrapped & sold in tesco

Some times Mother nature just takes over, perhaps the kits were sickly , who knows it happens sadly & theres not a great deal you can do about it

Please take someone with you that knows what they are looking for, the kits you got last time looked very small & basicslly not particularly healthy , you need to be bringing well bred healthy ferrets home not another headache
