  1. Stewie i think its got nothing to do with the site being about hunting .. its the sheer amount of activity on here & volume of members on at any one time

  4. So just because we choose to support rescues, means we can not be on a hunting site or even enjoy the sport - get real, and for your info we dont bang on about rescues unless your blind this thread is about rescues and was started by a bloke. And wether your dogs put in the effort or not for you, they should still get your time and care whilst they are in your care, or do you just abandon the ones that dont put in the effort for you? And by the way - i am on some rescue sites, same as quite a few that are on this site are. Hell of a lot of people brought the thl calendar a
  5. took it on because you wanted a companion, bit different than wanting a working dog dont you think,i mean after all if its a companion you want then any rescue would likely fit the bill,im not saying they not full of good pets but thats all they probably are thats all I totally agree with you i chose the breed i have because they are generally calm quiet dogs .. and suit my needs perfectly i dont disagree with you not wanting an adult dog because it still has to be housed & fed even if its not doing what you expect it to do
  6. i was simply looking for a companion when i had madge 3 yrs ago & i am so glad i did take on someone elses shit .. she has turned from a scared little bitch into a very different dog .. yes she chases things given the chance but i can live with that .. her lifes now lazing about all day & enjoying her walks

  10. Hush your mouth They're much adored and totally pampered pets I have always fancied some chickens Elaine but i dont think it would work with the greyhounds .. maybe one day if i move from here to somewhere with more garden so i can keep them safe from the dogs  It's the other way round here, Kay. I let the dogs out one day, a few weeks ago. After about half an hour i could hear Pob, the old lurcher, yipping indignantly. When i went outside to see what was wrong i found both dogs corralled into a corner by the five bar gate. Moomin the springer was quaki
  11. I think Longdog was just a name used to describe crosses lacking herding blood in the mix
  12. I have always fancied a Beddlington whippet .. having seen your dog i also like the look of the greyhound in the mix
  13. Agreed.. the old saying '' you have to have been young & foolish to become old & wise applies here... sadly the dogs are the disposable casualties
