  1. mark 12.5 % is 1/8, im sure you said one parant was 3/4 wipp/grey x colie and the other parant was whipp/grey . correct me if im wrong
  2. so are they less than 1/8 ? well staminar , its surprising how much staminar a whipp/grey or even a pure a whipp has got , also you work them a lot and obvoiusly keep them very fit , theres your staminar, you should know that after 40 year
  3. longdog mate your thinking about it all wrong. marks dog may well beat your dog to the hare. i have a little fast one here , that nearly always beats the other 2 25 and 26 inch bitches to the run up. the difrence is after the first miniut . and heres an answer for MARK , WHO I QUAT IS ALWAYS ASKING WHY HIS DOGS ARE SO FAST . well mark . she is only 1/8 colie the rest of her breeding is wilhay whipp/grey . so there you go she is out of some very fast racing dogs. with only a tiny bit of colie. any body that looks at that black rough coat can see its a wolf in sheeps cloathing
  4. well said giro, i cant belive all this stuff about ferreting dogs not lamping . its all about recall, recall, recall, the dog knows the diffrence between whats expected at night and day time . and heres somthing that will mess hith some of yous fellas heads. ocasionaly on the lamp i want the dog to use its nose now i dont mean fecking off over the fields , but in close withinn 50 yrds . somtimes on real rough long grass , set aside that kind of thing . its a real bonus when you can get the dog doing this.
  5. cheers for that , intresting stuff. and whatever equiptement was used , what a shot
  6. Never said she was a greyhound type, her mother was. belive me she was 3 years old in that pic. as for the colour and type you call a greyhound this can vary depending on location in the uk. like you i dont call a greyhound the realy tiny ones like the one in the pic. however to me there is no colour that cant be a greyhound , but they are usualy light coloured
  7. not a kit she is 3 year old, she was out of what i call a greyhound ferret . bigger than her but lean always on the go. nobby and rambo would vouch for the dam of this jill. she was an absolute cracker work wise.
  8. im a bit thik with all this technicle stuff, but did the sniper put the crosshairs on the target, and the scope was ajusted to alow for the drop. or did he actualy aim high, as ditch said at the top of a hill type thing

  21. a keeper i worked with briefly 23 year ago , used a back patterdale type , it was high on the leg . i never saw it , but he asured me he had took as ,many as 10 rabbits in a night with it
  22. i cant even belive some one would pay £120 never mind 180 them batteries are a £5 each and the lamps about £90. some folk have more money than sence
  23. interesting topic this i use both methods , although its not often i dont use a locator. for those of you that dont use locators , and say you dont dig very often , well of course you dont . but i can garantee you have left alot of rabbits behind, both dead and alive . 3 of my jills are on the small side , 1 in patricular is very small, but even this liitle jill, can and does kill quik. dont get me wrong , if your happy to leave a few under ground , well thats your choise, fair play. like i said at the begining i do somtimes stll use them without collars . young ferts in se
