  1. I GOT TO BE HONEST HERE , I DONT RATE THE GAS AT ALL , NEVER HAD GOOD SUCCESS WITH IT , ALWAYS HAD TO GO BACK TO THE TRAPS WAST OF MONEY IN MY OPINION
  2. looks like the little plantations you get on a golf course, where those poles are set
  3. NO MATE , ONE IS DEFO A DOG,PUT YOUR GLASS DOWN AND PUT YOUR GLASSES ON
  4. it seems to me that both you guys like your fast dogs ( denned mark ) both are 1/8 colie . so why not mate your dog denned to marks bitch. you would then in theory still keep an 1/8 colie , and with marks bitch having whippet in there will probly bring the size down, you may also get a few brocken coats, best of luck what ever way you go TOMO
  5. DO NOT CHARGE PER RABBIT if its a case of you just doing them a favour, then all you may want is a drink out of it, say £30 . but to be honest if you dont know them , charge them proper hourly rate of £15 - 20. most of my back garden jobs i charge by the day or if im only going to be a short while half day. £120 for a full day £65- 75 for a half day. have a look at the job and estimate how long its going to take
  6. there are a number of difrent types of gate net, mini long nets, sheet net just hung over the gate or very large poke type nets. snareman has a very good film about gate netting , and making them try to get hold of a copy
  7. i have also seen that snareman , many years ago i used to lamp a rail embankment. it had a rabbit fence up a good high one with 2 strands of wire above that. it must of been almost 4 foot and sure enough up and over they went. of course they had to stand for a second and judge it correctly. was a good place to start a lurcher of on the lamp . as they would bounce of this fence, bit like shooting fish in a barrel, but for starting pups of was great.
  8. dont be bothering resting warrens, that for the book writters mate. you shouldn't need to rest a warren any way with long nets that the hole idia. 30 mins is just wasting life. get the nets down and get on with it. as the other have said plenty ferts and stop nets through the middle best of luck TOMO
  9. this was a b*****d to chin
  10. WELL WHERE DO YOU START WITH THIS THREAD. FIRST OF ALL MOLE CATCHER IN YOUR FIRST POST YOU SAID IT WASN'T A SLUR OR ABOUT HIS PROFESSIONALISM. YOU THEN GO ON TO ATACK HIM. AND CALL HIS BULLSHIT. TO BE HONEST I DONT QUITE UNDERSTAND Q1 , IN Q2 YOU NEVER ANSWERED THE QUESTION YOUR SELF . YOU JUST STATED THERE IS MORE TO THE TRAD NET THAN JUST STORIGE. SO WHAT IS IT? and yes i have both types of net and started my night netting with the trad style. Q3 LETS BE HONEST THE FIXED METHOD IS IDIOT PROOF. YOU SAID YOU CANT DICTATE WHER YOU PLACE POLES. I DISSAGREE APART FROM GOING F

whats the job stork, working on a game farm. if so good luck fella reared pheasants myself at welbeck estate about 25 years ago . very hot summer . worked like a b*****d for 3 months 6am till very late . it was a big wake up call to whats involved with keepering. we still had some birds reared the old way under broody hens. and they had to be moved evry day on to fresh grass. as well as doing all the cleaning out evry day . and the head keepers dogs , i also had to mo all his fecking lawns he sure was a b*****d that head keeper.
  22. is that a big cheese? if so , and it does look like one , they are £14.90 from killgerm . if it isnt then i apologise , but it does look like one.
  23. ferreted plenty of drains , provided you know both ends, the easyest are the ones , where there is a little bridge to allow tractors in a field . these are some times only 5-6 metres or so . if you have a thumb stick/walking stick tie a length of cord round it ( so you can pull it out) and throw/slide it along the pipe it often flushes the rabbit out the other side
  24. i try to keep small to medium sized ferrets , and have had a few of what i call greyhound ferrets over the years. the ones i call greyhound ferts are medium sized very lean humped backed and allways on the go, running round the court on the wheel. or when working no messing straight in . i have never found that they cant do a full days work. now here is one big advantage with smal ferts. firstly you can get more in one carying box, i can get 6 in mine . its one of simmon w boxes. i can also get 3 in my little single box where as you would be hard pressed to get 1 big hob
  25. a good location would be somwhere in the cente of the uk. around nottingham maybe
