  2. i think you need to start a hole new thread for that question lancer. unfortnatly minshaw threads are about as popular as markbrick
  3. im glad you put the pic on here i can never see them on the other site,, good night you had there lads, got to be pleased with the dogs
  4. i think stubby is correct ,, if the hob can still mount the jill and penatrate it will bring the jil out,,,, however by removing the testies it takes away the hormone that gives sex drive... but if i rember correct castrating an animal befor puberty, removes all sexual desire,,, its when anamals are castarted after sexual maturity,, that things can change,, its one of the reasons castarting pedos would not work
  5. not on plough or new sown fields surely even not on wet ground, being as i always run on permision,, i would not drive on those fields,, only stubble and grass
  6. GOOD you get what im saying,, thats an end to it then,,
  7. very good windy,, you lernt how to google,,, but a 4x4 even an old fourtrack can double that
  8. Hares are estimated to run at 40mph, a yugo firing on two cylinders could do that One thing i wonder is, WHY would you want to run two 12 month old dogs on 19 hares........ 40 mph is flat out,, i dowt there doing 30 when the dog is on them with all the stop start and twisting.
  9. i base my reason on doing both on the same land,,, and without dowt the motor was more efective,, on that land round grantham, its very open with thin hedges,, so there vertualy no way of cutting a hare off on foot, if thats what you wanted to do. but its also so vast the hare can go the other way streight out the beam in seconds if your on foot that would be an end to it. your right in 1 respect,, the dog still has to do the work,, and they can still get long runs,, but the sheer fact its hard for them to get out the light over a brough in the field.
  10. in the long run yes,,,, and you run down here so you should know,,, on the big land i have found if i chase the dogs in the truck to keep up with the run, the dogs stand a better chance, the main reason is the hare not going out the lamp.............on that big land if your walking its very easy to loose the hare out of the lamp. i cant belive you think difrent??
  11. i dont mean running them over,,, as you say keeping up with the run,,,but oh yes it does make a dfrence
  12. jim,, behave,,, he put a pic up one night on hunters united of a red,,, geus what,,, it was a roe,, he did put some pics up once of two reds,, but they had been shot, and he put the dogs next to them for a wind up on the net. as for these 19 hares,, its possibly true,, although, they will have been done whilst driving them down,, that being said,, its still takes some staminar to do them,, so fair play if it is true,,,, but he ought to beware,, he fecked the minshaw dog up by giving it to much to soon. minshaw doing 27,, i dont know, i do know andy has done 27 in one night with two dog
  13. you were born in lincoln.........how many fingers and toes do you have???

  18. I beleive the climate in Lincs is uncommonly" warm" in the winter months. warm,, lol,,, its fecking tropical
  19. the squirrels might not have looked in your trap,, what i mean is they use there eyes in the tree to look for the nuts,, only using scent to distinquish the ripest ones. try setting the trap upside down with nuts on the trap as well as inside, i have used it like this on a fence line with devasting results heres some fenn 6 set in wire tunels up the tree,,, this one is in a walnut tree whilst its fruiting i have taken 23 squirrels from this trap and a trap in a spanish chestnut in just a couple of weeks
  20. why put a roof tile over the hole,,, thats going to stop the trap firing properly
