    I have herd some lads believe that rabbits will turn away from light coloured nets,,,,weather that cos of the colour,,or just that rabbit didn't fancy it,,,who knows,,,, my own view is colour don't mater to the rabbit,,,but of course it can make it easier for the human to not loose nets

    He doesn't know the weight riggers,,,,it was a misprint ,,,it should read 12 z ,,,not 12 oz,,,,, 12z refers to the thickness of the twine,,,,,personally I prefer a 2.1/8 ,,,or 2,1/4 mesh board giving you a 4.1/4 ,,or 4.1/2 mesh,,,gives the ferret a bit more space to get through the nets without disturbing them,,,,also some lads like killing by stretching the necks,,wich can be done with the rabbits head through the the larger mesh,,,,,personally I chin rabbits,,so that doesn't really matter....     Now I don't know wether it's a buck or doe that gets up first,,,and I don't really care.....but rather than saying the buck goes first cos it's protecting the doe,,,, is it not more conceivable that the buck goes first because it's just looking to get out of dodge,,,and get out way of danger,,,,,and possibly the doe,,,sits it out,,,cos the the danger is chasing after the buck,,, and also her being female maybe she more used to hiding from danger,,,especially when leading up to child birth...     Deffo makes a difference ,,,,cos let's face it,,lamping is easier than daytime,,,a lot of coursing dogs are finished by 6,,,not saying all,,,,but a lot are,,,or they have at least lost that extra yard that made the difference for hares,,,,,they can of course carry on lamping with great success

    As above,,,there are fields where you get the forms in the same area year after year,,,and like yourself I always thought it was down to wind direction,,, and getting out of the wind,,,very often those forms would be just below the brough you get,,,

    Funny that,,,it was always my belief that they use the same seat regular,,I have put hares out of the exact same seat many times....and always assumed it was the same hare,,,as the useless dogs I owned back in the day couldn't catch them....
