  1. This is my Parson bitch, best marking dog i've had yet. Me and the dog have an agreement, if it's in the net it's mine. If it gets past the net it's hers, works well. ATB FT
  2. omg the guy is selling his nets ,if you dont want them dont comment my old man use to have a saying, " better to keep your mouth shut & let them think your a fool " " than open it & remove all doubt" its a for sale section, get a grip man, sorry but cant beleive people can give so much hassle just for selling nets , hemp, spun poly, nylon some one will say each is crap thats why we have the saying "Each To Their Own" !! Well said that man :clapper:
  3. I could not have put it better myself, always use a more robust twine for the selvedge and the net should last you a long time. FT
  4. From the arse end of nowhere

  5. Probably because they don't know any better. Hemp has had it's place in net design but net making has now moved into the 21st century with new materials being developed all the time but i suppose there will always be the so called "purists" that refuse to even entertain the fact that superior materials exist. FT
  6. Hemp is the devils twine, my spun nets never tangle and don't need farting around with and drying at the end of the day! FT
  7. Local builders merchant it's builders plumb line, and it's very nice to work with knots up a treat. ATB FT
  8. The rainbow twine is spun poly and it is actually sold as builders plumb line. ATB FT
  9. Made these for a customer a little while back And some of these for a laugh ATB FT
  10. yeah put me down for the "all cats bad" bandwagon, the cats round here live in fear of "Team Stig" my 3 Parson Russels! ATB FT
  11. Have a read of this mate http://www.the-shg.org/
  12. You can now find him on Flea bay under the name Affordable Ferreting! FT
  13. There is no such thing as a distemper jab for ferrets, it is all manufactured for dogs/cats and as such should only be used for its intended purpose. As a rescue we have rescued/rehomed over 1500 ferrets now and never had a problem with distemper. Just another money grabbing vet. ATB FT
  14. Coneytrappr you are to be applauded for your concise and clear reasoning i could not have put it better myself. This kind of idiot the ferret world can do without. :clapper: FT
  15. Superb motor had one for three years and only changed it due to being offered upgrade at the dealers. ATB FT
  16. Jeez pal where the hell do you get your information from, breeding silver to silver is a real can of worms. There is a good chance the offspring will have joint problems at the very least and the ferret version of cereberal palsy at worst. As a rescue we have had to pick up the fall out from this type of uneducated breeding more than once and until you have spent time dealing with the poor little sods and eventually having to have them PTS you will realise why this type of attitude puts my back up. Silver to Silver is a definite NO!!!!!!! So now i'll just sit back and let you lot tak
  17. I have a Gamo 177 gas ram side lever target rifle and it is an extremely potent weapon albeit a tad on the heavy side but with a 3x9x50 bushnell on it it is deadly accurate. ATB FT
  18. Try this bloke, had a lot of stuff off him over the last year all excellent quality and reasonable price. http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/Dl-Pet-Supplies__W0QQ_armrsZ1 Cheers FT
  19. What's the difference? About £60 FT
  20. Whatever is comfortable in use, i use an 8" for most jobs bigger for stop nets etc. FT
  21. Basically they have gone from Animal welfare to Animal rights! Just my opinion FT
  22. If my ferrets could crew through chicken wire I wouldnt be surprised if they also donned big red capes and flew around saving the world every night after I'd gone to bed. BS mate Either we breed tougher ferrets down here mate, either that or you know jack shit about what ferrets are capable of! FT
  23. The question i always get asked is "how big a hutch should i get?" Answer, the biggest one you can afford, ferrets love room to play. Regards FT
  24. One other point don't use chicken wire they will chew through it in no time at all, try to use a weld mesh type for ferret housing. Regards FT
  25. I get mine from this guy http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FIBRE-GLASS-LONG-NET...id=p3911.c0.m14 Good gear not the cheapest but excellent quality poles. FT
