Hi, What I would do is have alook on the Blackpool air guns website. They have information on pellets, you want a heavier grain pellet than standard to make the most of your gun. (size matters!) I have found that the standard dome shaped pellets are the best for consistancy, yes the pointed ones do have more penetration but they are not consistant over longer ranges. Its a little bit of trial and error to find the best pellet for you and your gun, I like AA field but they would be to light for you. Looking on the website will give you a good start. Hi Chalkwarren, The FAC rated s410 is as it says a firearm and as such has restriction where you can use it, as per your licence. I did consider one myself but after talking to my FA liason officer decided to go with the bog standard one due to the restrictions of where you can use it, on named land. Dont know if the same goes for other forces around the country the exception I believe is registered pest controllers. Depends how confident you are, I do my own if it is needed, but if your unsure dont do it. Do you have a falconry centre nearby? or a vet that specialises in B.O.P if so use them. Be wary of run of the mill vets, they will just cut em off square like they would a budgie with an over grown beak. There is no real secret to it, cast the bird, nip the longest part of the mandible off from the front with a very sharp pair of cutters, file it up thats it. You can get a good casting jacket from falconry originals, plus the files etc. Watch someone experienced do it and have a go

Any one want a Realtree pattern put on your, gun, FERRET BOX or fag packet, the firm that does it is Hydrographics, based at Acaster Mabis, near York. They advertise in some of the gun mags, I could dig the phone number out if anyone wants it. So the its no great secret putting patterns on. I, like others am really interested in what these FERRET BOXES are made from, not wood and not plastic?

Hi, Its a gun sock, strechy thing. I cut a few bits outwere needed and did a bit sewing. The scope is a pull over neoprene, bought on ebay. Did it all for under 20 quid, the proper graphics would cost in the region of 140 ish quid + . Mine can be taken off.

Try Blackpool airguns for the rifle you choose, they are good on price, service and delivery. Dont know much about the Falcon but the Air Arms s410 is a cracking bit of kit, 10 shot, R or Lhd, in carbine, have a look at one. Mines fitted with a SR12 scope, its a deadly combination.

I had a jill turned up last year in my garden, again she was heavy in heat. She had travelled half a mile from the owners house to mine to get to my hobs. Just shows ferrets really do stink, cant say I had noticed, for the pong to travel all that way to attract the jill

We all like the thought of retribution. But I'm with ditch shitter, I dont think this forum should be inciting whippet boy to take matters into his own hands, now or later. How would people feel if he got another pasteing or worse. If it went the other way and ended up with a life sentence. Your telling the lad to do something totally STUPID.
