  1. I had a litter of 10 this year. 6 jills 4 hobs. Vet didnt get the vasectomy right first time last year and the hob fathered 2 unwanted littters of 10.
  2. Have you thought about his 'hairy tanned legs' much since that episode? What do you mean HIS?
  3. Did you suffer indigestion? No indigestion, just a big guilty feeling. For about 2 minutes :11:
  4. Last year me and the wife did a bit of touring around the British Isles. Doing a bit of bird of prey watching. Stayed in B +B's and small Hotels. Had all the BBQ stuff, stove for tea making, couple of chairs in the boot, you get the picture, pair of sad buggers sitting in lay-bys drinking tea. Anyway in one remote area, spotted a golden eagle, we pulled off the road next to a lovely babbling brook. Was'nt long before I was in the stream chasing small trout, I turned over a stone there was a crayfish, then another and another. Shouted to the wife to get the pan on to boil some
  5. Even though "Big Cats" are experts in stealth and remaining unseen. I dont think they could have mastered the art of covering their own pad prints! Do these things never die? Where do the bodies go? Sorry for me they reign alongside the Lochness monster and yeti, myths!!
  6. Just to say thank you to those that contacted me about my Wanted Male Harris Hawk advert. I was put in touch with a friend of a site user and picked up the bird yesterday. My females are eyeing him up, not as a prospective mate, but dinner.
  7. Aye, they seem to like shite, and Ive BBQ'd em. Suppose it adds to the flavour.....
  8. Once went out with a lass called Hilary Mullet.... It was me that caught summit off her No seriously though, use a bit of bread on the surface with a clear bubble float, type you put water in to give it weight. Present the bit of bread same as for carp. The Greeks use a different method, they have amout 30 small hooks mounted on a nylon line, they wrap all the nylon with the hooks on around a lump of bread, hey presto then no matter where the mullet take the bread they get hooked. Nice on the BBQ
  9. Its along time since I bred dogs, some of the other lads are probably more up to speed. From what I remember in the bitches cycle, when she stops bleeding the vulva increases in size and thats point you mate them. I think if they are still bleeding its to early.
  10. If you want info on Brittanies, contact Steve Wright of Hawkwise. I dont like posting his number but he advertises on the IBR, type into your search engine IBR BIRD MART
  11. You know what they say, 'any port in a storm', :11: Thats the thing about us lot, we are tolerant of peoples views and beliefs, we dont have any problems with colour, creed, gender or religion. SO DONT MESS WITH OUR SPORT BY USING INFORMATION GATHERED ON THIS SITE OR SIMILAR SITES :realmad: I hope you are the figment of someones imagination, if not, should'nt you be lying in the road outside some animal research centre somewhere.
  12. Welcome, you must have your work cut out to exercise all your birds in the flying season, are you a full time falconer?

Got rid of the first one after 25 years, I now have a younger model. Been married a year now But the divorce was hell and the csa well say no more. Try and compromise, see things from her point of view, it may be that you have to give something up, you can always return to it later..... Hope you sort things out, all the best.
  17. Used to frequent Steve Smith and Bagnall & Kirkwoods too. The Dave Millers shop you mention was his last move in Mackem City having had 2 other shops. I wouldnt go back to live in Shields either....
  18. I Agree Sean, falconry fabrications are good, they made me a custom made double hawk box for my Landie. Gave the sizes to him and it arrived before to long a perfect fit.
  19. No problems happens, we all get crabby (sorry couldnt help it) By the way I spent many an hour with an old bike wheel covered with a net, on the end of a rope, with a cods head in the middle. Off the side of South Shields pier, you could catch some really big edible crabs and if you were really lucky a lobster. Cheers
  20. Thought the hole idea of chat and forums was to have banter, bit of a laugh, while we talk about things we like. If you are going to add personal insults to posting, perhaps its your dummy you should be throwing out not crab lines!
  21. REW, How about an update on the ferret, the missus needs to know.
