  3. Yes, its a bit disappointing & unnecessary interfering, from Jeff.Way back, when the concept of a "molecatchers body/group" was being considered, i wasnt sure if it was a good thing, or not ? lol I thought at least it might be able to promote 'mole trapping' as an effective & viable alternative, to 'chemical control methods' against moles ? Cause im afraid i cant find alot else to say, POSITIVE, about the whole idea,...lol Never forget why the GBM came into existence.......... JN was an active member of the BTMR, which is an online register rather than a trade body of

  6. Ha ha , i believe moles are present on Jersey & Guernsey ? (i think)
  7. Apparently there aren't any moles in the entire emerald isle. I met a fella from the South (he worked for Eco Lab) on a course a few years ago and all he wanted to know was about mole catching as he had never done it. I heard an unlikely explanation once as to why there are no moles in Ireland. Anyone have any theories? They should introduce some,...lol
  8. wonder why this & the other offering, are no longer available, their described as being, "private" viewing only, now ? just curious,.....lol
  9. Did you ever manage, to do a bit of 'footage' yourself, Matt ? I remember you mentioning, you might do a 'moletrapping' one ? Youve done 'one or two', which went down well,...
  10. Goodness me,.....lol.......a "fight" on "New Years Day" ! lol Totally unheard of before, up here in Scotland ! , of course,....(that will be right !)
  11. thought so,mate ! There you go "volpe" , this guys also done, a bit of footage !,.....ha ha (you might have to put a bit more out, now !) lol
  12. Please correct me if im wrong,Perthshire, but is there not already footage of yourself, on youtube.Setting a talpex type, mole trap ? (im guessing,by the way !) lol
  13. Its fairly common for moles to travel, field/land drains, & buried pipes (drainage, etc). In them,or along side, etc.Old or new,.....
  14. I well remember a moleman (poison man, mainly) saying to me about 20 year ago, now. "theres plenty ground, for everybody",....lol Aye, possibly then,...but CERTAINLY not now,in most areas !
  15. Oooooh,..a bit awkward, for you ?,......maybe. lol ive nothing for respect for bob he is a gent of the highest king! and i bloody good "mawdy" man and got his traps are a work of art, mine aint quite as good yet I know what your saying,...& i can tell cause of the " respect " thing, you probably wouldnt try to ' step on each others toes ',....anyway. lol
  16. A wee gem,of a film ! Heard one or two of the boys on here, mention this gentleman.Obviously, an effective 'home made' trap, hes developed there,......(keep your secrets, " Granda Bob ") ha ha
  17. Put your markers in a few yards away from your traps, and make a hill over the traps. They won't be found . Nearest thing i use to a marker, would be the 'square of turf'. ,I do exactly as you say, mate. (least i know, im in the vicinity !) You can help disguise most of the trap types, the way you describe, as well,.....
  18. I know what you mean,mate.The type of situation,your describing,i realise you need to " mark " them,somehow.
  19. Would really make 'the blood boil' Bry.A real privilege,he had. But,this is how your repaid,......your instincts wont be far wrong.Any consolation at all , did you charge him anything, for the tuition ? lol
  20. Sorry to hear , mate. This kind of thing can really get to you, too,......Its why i NEVER use markers. (or do you reckon, you could have been being watched, anyway ?) Im not setting the volume of traps, that some are, though.
  21. Really, ? Its just ive never came across anything like that one,in ANY of the garden centres/sections,up here.Wouldnt mind one, especially on the right ground, for it. (im on foot)
