  2. Your not wrong, mate,...it can be more difficult, locating the 'runs', when the grounds quite wet ?,..depending on what your using as a 'dibber' like ?, it can help if youve got a couple, with different 'dimensions' on say the 'bar' diameter,...& different siziing on the 'bullet', (at the end) maybe ?,....but, nothings 'set in stone'.
  3. Its about time, you bought a bag, Moxy !,...put them out, & let us know ? ha ha

(who do you think you are ?,...cause i wont be , intimidated,...)
  5. Often, in the past, a favourite method of a 'householder' (or their gardener ? ),who had a go,...... was too try and somehow 'install' a mole trap (usually a scissor type), in the 'molehill' itself !,.....lol & when you turned up, youd be told something like "the traps have been there three weeks, & aint been touched" !
  6. i like the 'middle line' ? lol , & theres NO WAY, i would (try) teach a customer !,.....(but, thats just me)

  8. Could he 'tolerate' them ?,...lol,....or is the 'damage' incurred, severe ?
  9. Heard this too,.... "zinc-plated wire netting with a 15mm mesh" , layed "80-100mm" deep ?
  10. I dont know, about the rest of you,....but a question, i often get asked by a customer (in a domestic situation) is, "how many moles, do you think , ive got ?",....ha ha !

  13. Thanks, for your input, mate,...& 'respect' too you, for being a user, of the old wooden mole traps, once upon, a time ?,....lol Tell you what, i would love one or two, of the 'full barrel' type (in working order !),....lol,......(although im aware. theres a modern version, consisting of a 'plastic' body, these days ?,...lol ) i have some of these old wooden "full barrel" traps kicking about somewhere!!! found them the other day but cant get a picture up! few of the springs with no wooden barrel too........ they worth anything to the collectors? Not too sure, mate
  14. I like Packham, but too often, his type want to go too far, on some issues, calling for a 'ban', on this or that ? (which i dont agree with, in this case),....but, the 'shooting estates', need to make sure their 'management practises', are CORRECT, for whatever their particular circumstances ? (some dont agree, with any 'large scale cull, of mountain hares', for example ?) I'm very near the place that was photographed in the spring, big numbers can and must be shot because there's such a high density.. Those that disagree, have opinions that are not based on fact or logic in other words, idiot

(some dont agree, with any 'large scale cull, of mountain hares', for example ?) Have you seen the population of white hares on managed moor land, They are thriving due to management and need to be culled on a large scale. People should go and see for themselves before shouting about somethings bein
  17. "Can no one see where i am actually coming from?",....aye, i can,...but even though i can, (and probably would) say, if i thought something was in 'bad taste', i dont believe ive the right to try and stop them,...speaking personally ?
  18. Your still entitled, to put your photos up, if you want , mate ?,...i wouldnt let anyone on here , stop me, (if i wanted too) even if it was 'controversial' ?,....so its probably better, to have the courage, too,......rather than going on the defensive, and resorting to 'name calling' insults ? (all the ones that dont agree, are perfectly entitled also, to their view ?,...but its down to you ?),....you soon learn, you have to have a 'thick skin', on here ! ,...ha ha
  19. If it was me, i wouldnt let anyone put me off, showing my photos, on here , if i wanted too ? (within reason),..... (although i do acknowledge, some of the opposing points, being made ?)
  20. I think hes based his opinion, on some 'study' that was carried, out ?,....but again, alot of 'countrymen' (myself included), arent opposed to the 'control', of this species ? (in proportion, to any local circumstances,....),....and we could claim, to see the benefits, of it !,....lol
