    Well, it can vary for me,.... for this particular club, i work out a minimum price per mole, (which would be more, than say ,in an 'agricultural' situation, using that 'pricing' method ?),...plus the usual, travelling time, fuel, (motor , wear & tear, etc), on top,.......(dont get me wrong,...i wouldnt claim to be the best 'businessman',..but i manage)

    Well, this is it, Darcy,......i know the ground,( new moles coming back , in the same old spots, mainly) & as i said before, ive only got two golf courses, left ?,.....so i will continue, for now.

    Too cut a long story, short, golf club secretary (who pays me), got a cheaper quote, from a BTMR advertised mole catcher. "he can do it for how much" ,..i said.So the secretary asks, can i match his price, otherwise its his !,........"no sorry i cant" , says i.Id been there for about 5 year, now,....& my prices, were very reasonable.So being the chap i am,....lol,....i gives the said mole catcher, a bell.     Bear in mind, mate,....its not getting any easier, out there (in my opinion). Alot of farmers are moaning, "theres no money in it, now",...cause of 'subsidy' changes,cows,not profitable(or cant shift),milk prices,etc ? A fair few Golf Courses, are suffering financially (falling membership, weather issues,etc),....(im down to attending two now, used to have at least half a dozen, at any one time) & lets not go there again, about the 'cut-throat' competition !,.......But, with your years of experience, behind you,....youve got as good a chance, as any.     One way, to get them unharmed, is,... if you happen to stumble upon one, 'heaving up' , at the end of a line of hills (last couple ?).probe & dig out the sod quickly,a few meter back, (if you can) & get your spade/trowel blocking off, the run back,...wait for moley to shoot across, the opening, & make a grab for it, when he hits your spade ! ,....(first time, i grabbed it near the tail, & it swung round, & gave me a nip !,.....lol),......(second time i got a chance , i managed to get a hold of it, behind the front paws !)

    Fair bit of expense, mate ?,...& how 'cost effective' will it be (gassing), compared to the use of approved kill-traps,for moles (for example ?). When giving your customers, the choice ? There is no answer to that as each job is different. I very rarely have to resort to gas, but it is useful to have it as an option. I can't remember a situation I ever used it because it was cheaper, I use it when it is the best option for the job. Still a pain!
