    The Shannagh working terrier club show 4th August stimulated coursing event classes for saluki pure bred and saluki cross lads this show will a bit of craic on the off season and the winner will have a trophy and bragging rights lol ash1 will be putting up more details in the next day or two

    This is what I mean use your loaf when buying a dog ask the right questions and you can soon tell and ejit from a genuine man because a genuine man will probably offer to let you see the parents and will answer all questions

    200 is nothing for a well bred dog doing a job that you know that you have seen but my point is this site is full of genuine dog men who have a high standard for lurchers and terriers it takes a long time to get a good thing going with breeding it just saddins me to read some of the adds and see the prices charged

    Is it just me or are things getting out of hand every where you look in the for sale section pups at mad prices I thought the point of the for sale section was to get rid of a spare pup maybe two out of a litter of working stock hence the name now we have full litters out of race and show winners for sale it seems now as it turning into a pedalers paradise

    I don't know we're you lads get your prices 125 for a pup is a lot of dough in this game especially as you dont know the owner or the dogs it doesn't even say if the parents are proven in my eyes if your going to get a pup try and make it one of dogs you know do your homework on the dogs,the reason dogs are so expensive is lads see a certain cross and think they are a cert because of the mixture in the pups not the parents working ability PUT AN END TO PUPPY PEDALING CHEEPER DOGS NOW

    There is a chance that it will be passed on to the pups but I wouldn't let it bother you granted you will get no rosettes at the shows but as far as working ability I don't think it affects them I have had a number of undershot dogs one was severely and he was the best terrier I have owned to date and prob the hardest Russell I have dug too or seen first hand I think when a pup is born with it the pup learns to eat and bite with it so learns to live with it
