  11. thanks gary.. i have no children but my little brother is always around. for some good reason he takes no interest in my hunting. he asked to look through the scope once and that was it. i do keep it well out of his way just in case. some of you lot have your kids involved and that can only be a good thing i suppose. if there educated about the dangers and they know its for sport, not a weapon, as some rambo's call it. i dont know for sure because i got none but im guessing the problems come from the curious kids who think theres a "gun" in the house. i would of been the same. thanks anyway ga

  16. I did a Hatsan 60S review, Hatsan are the air rifles that are sold under the Edgar Brothers brand in the UK. My review is on the 60S and is under the review section on this site! Honest! thanks for that mate i will have a read! this is probably the air rifle im thinkin of.. im not looking to buy 1 but im intrigued because our gunsmith was well impressed by them. and it felt solid to me. and for 160 notes with scope and slip i was baffled. but thanks matey atb
  17. well done mate.. takes some skill to get close enough to those fellas!
  18. hello matey, welcome to the forum. the same question comes up alot mate and the same answers everytime. aatx200 various HW springers. i would advise these myslef as a first option but as its been coverd, i would check out a springer by edgar brothers. my local gunshop is selling loads of them as a combo, rifle slip and a half decent scope for £160. i agree with the buy cheap buy twice but there is a lot of snobbery, these guns mate are built to last, as for accuracy the gunsmith swares buy them but i cant say as i havent used one. be interesting to read a review if anyone has got one? i dont
  19. i edited my reply because i went off on a tangent and didnt answer your question
  20. hello mate, i have a simmons white tail classic, 1.5-5x20. these scopes are superb, crystal clear. mine only has a max magnification of 5x. which is perfect during day light. no good at night its to small. the mag matey is the 3.5-10 part, your maximum mag will be x10. which is more than enough for airgunning. either of them 3 will be fine, i would get the cheaper of the 3, the smaller one because they are such good scopes that there wont be much need for the bigger scopes. hope this helps mate. mick
  21. good avice there.. this is just me but i go at different times every time i go out because of work. late at night is usually most productive for me. from 10-11pm onwards. also, pick the right conditions. dark windy nights make a massive difference. if you turn up on a silent and still night and slam your car door it carries for miles. my permission is funny mate some times i go and see 2 or 3, other times there are pleanty. try it on a dark windy night mate and let us no how you get on. all the best
  22. same again pal, i had the same problem about a month ago, 2 peices of cornflake box later im happy as larry. the gunsmith did it for me as i thought my gun was losing power. atb mate.. mick
  23. they sell loads of them at my local gunshop mate.. by what the gunsmith says they fantastic bits of kit, just rough and ready air rifles should last you a long time, and to answer your qestion mate you will kill air gun quarry if your shots are up to it just make sure you practice with it enough.. ATB mick
