  1. millsy as you are only in boro mate you mite aswell check denny's diving in redcar out, they sell all sizes from 3ltr up over, they sell 300bar ones mate specifically for airgunners. they sell loads of them, im not sure about pricing mate but if you check them out you could let the other lads no im due to get mine refilled in the next couple of weeks so if you dont get down i will ask them and post the prices on here ATB mick
  2. happy days mate to andy, no mate i bought it off a lad up my way good rifles as hunter1989 says theres alot for sale but i think thats because there a popular rifle there seems to be alot of them around.. ATB Mick
  3. hello mate, i paid 400 for a second hand one about 6month ago in 22. im tempted myself but im saving for a deposit to buy a house so my mrs would kill me.. ATB with it mate
  4. hello mate and welcome to the forum as mentioned above, i would personally buy a good quality springer, tried and tested ones like air arms or weihrauchs wont let you down, if you look in the for sale section there always coming up, for less than £250 u can pick them up with scope and bag sometimes. get a tin or 2 of pellets and some targets and have fun plinkin away untill your consistant at 25-30 meters. pointless spendin 5 or 600 pounds on a pcp setup because if you dont like the sport it may end up in the back of a cupboard! anyway mate enjoy..mick

great footage that gary .. same at our end mate bloody freezin, me and my mate went out on thursday and got the car stuck at the bottom of a nasty hill!! our only way home anall so we had it in 1st gear driving itself and us 2 running behind pushin it and hopeing it wouldnt gather 2 much pace and p*ss off without us! funny night but rifles didnt leave there slips, im itchin now its a been a few weeks since i been out. ATB mate, mick
  7. good thread this. good to see other peoples take on 177. as i shoot 22. some good information there and i have fancied 177. for a while as most of my shooting is done at night. my range estimation is not that bad but i do miss too many shots, with a 177. i just might put more in the bag, most of my shooting is done at a maximum of 30 meters, most being much closer, so deffinatley something to consider. atb mick
  8. hello mate, im an s410 mam myself but my pal sold his his daystate air ranger and bought an r10 and doesnt regret it, his daystate was just to heavy, as lovely looking as it was. up to you matey
  9. classic and carbine is just the barrel length pal, classic is longer and carbine the shorter version. both rifles for me are of equal class, the only difference is personal preferance i suppose and as 90% of my shooting is from the standing position the carbine just feels more balanced and i can hold it still for a fraction longer. like i say its down to the individual. couldnt comment on the r10 matey my mate has 1 and he swares by it. i know si who commented above has 1 and he'l probably let you know his thoughts.
  10. Hello Scott, i will try mate i have a carbine version in 22. and owned one a while back in classic, also 22. to be honest mate there are lads on here who will post shortly with far better advice. i dont get out enough to know it inside out and as there the only pcp i have owned i have nothing to compare it to!! anyway mate i love mine, i have had very few problems if any, accuracy has been perfect apart from a little blip a few weeks ago, it seems light enough to me as i often walk miles and it causes no bother. only thing i could possibly whinge about is the pressure gauge is knackerd. says 1
  11. i guess there just a popular rifle like the man said, im happy with mine mate so far so good anyway.. touch wood
  12. for me personally, its dark clothing, i wear black craghoppers or similar trousers, and a dark fleece/jacket or when its freezing i do have a realtree jacket but more for warmth than trying to get on top of my quarry. each to their own i guess. for tackle tarts its a great excuseto spend cash, for a tight arse like me its a great way to avoid it!! atb
  13. them points must be stacking up anall gary! keep it going mate
  14. alarm went off at 5am, thought i was 6-2 but im nights tonight instead so got up and had a coffee, realised my error, then thought sack it im up now so i grabbed my s410, charging kit, some targets and warm clothing. about 45 minutes drive to my permission and arrived just after half 6. the rain and wind was battering my car and i was beginning to feel i had wasted my morning!! i sat for half an hour or so and the rain settled down, was getting much lighter now so got my targets up, laid down on the soaked grass and began checking zero, it was miles out. low, and left. began clicking the turre
  15. well done gary.. i was out this morning got soaked and was bloody freezing, had an awful plinking session, and shot no quarry.. the joys of airgunning
  16. as long as you hit what your aiming at mate then it sounds good to me. my mate zeroes his using a vice not sure exactly how but he gets pellet on pellet at 25meters so it obviously works.. ATB mate

  19. i would like to keep my s410 in the condition i bought it, it will pick up the odd marks but i need to stop being so lazy and learn to strip and maintain it. im shooting more than i used to which is good but with the bad weather coming i will need to look after my kit. i will research the stripping part as i know you have been through all this, but what is the best oil for me to buy? and how to apply? how much to apply? and where to? any advice or help would be massivley appreciated.. thanks in advance
