  15. my best was 67 rabbits in 4.5 hours last year lamping from a landrover. the place was moving with rabbits sometimes you didnt know which one to go for 1st. due to start that permission again really soon. will take the camera this year. regards P

  17. hi, over the last 2 years i have shot over 20 (maybe 25) on one of my permissions. this place had quite a few for many many years but they were getting to numerous so the farmer asked me to cut them back. we had a good go at them for the 2 seasons and are now hopefully at a level that the farmer is happy (he likes them to just not in large numbers) so they will be left to themselves again! maybe have 1 or 2 for the pot. i am voting "yes" to this this time but will probably be a "no" in the future. blue/mountain hares are plenty on the higher ground on other permissions. there a def
  18. hi all, i am looking for a .270 calibre rifle for shooting red deer and am looking for any likes and disslikes for makers? any advice and pointers would be good. thanks and regards.
  19. hi zoo's, wild life parks and prey bird rescue/sanctuarys are good places to get rid of dead stuff (rabbits squirrels pigeons) if NOT shotgun shot. my local zoo buys rabbits pigeons of me........ as many as i can get. feeds the wolves etc. gets me a couple of ££ not much but a few and saves waste. rats corvids etc as above. ferret keepers are alsways on the look out for free food and i know 1 farmer that feeds his dogs rabbits and his cats pigeons sometimes. kind regards P
  20. hi all what i did, and has worked so for but with minimal testing, is to tie a knot in my snare wire at the correct distance from the eyelet large enough to stop the eyelet thus creating a stop fixed in place on all my "old" snares bringing them up to current legislation. saved me having to bin them and get new ones. regards P
  21. i have from landys etc for rabbits many times with some great results if its just light like drizzle. not so good if the rains heavy. give it a try over a few senssions you will soon know. with the winter we have just passed the rabbits up my bits seem to be out in every weather at the mo. regards p
  22. rabbit skulls are easy to get. sometime they have holes in em! but there would be plenty guys here that could get you them. mice and rats and voles are also easy to get if you know anyone with cats!! kind regards P
