  7. It appears thare are seperate qualifications in English, Scottish, and UK Law. If a Lawyer is qualified in UK Law, he/she can practice anywhere in the UK. Cheers When i was arresed in scotland i had to wait 5 hours for a lawyer to come from durham as scottish solicitors are only qualified in scotish law and english lawyers in english law. Military personnel are under english law so an english law qualified lawyer had to be called. Cant argue with Sacs cover. 30 quid a year and got somebody to call who WANTS to help you. i speak to the lord ,...........and it dont cost
  8. I was very supprised to read this, so have looked, very briefly into it, and as far as I can see, any lawyer qualified in UK law can practise in Scotland. There appears to be many London based Lawyers relocating to Scotland as the costs of living, keeping chambers, etc in London is far higher than in Glasgow or Edinbourgh. So, as I read it; an English Lawyer, practising in England CAN represent a client in Scotland, as long as he is qualified in UK Law ! I could be wrong, as the Law is very different in many ways, between England and Scotland, but as I understand it, Mr. Rees could represent a

  11. that is ridictulous , yes there different laws but for god sake it cant be rocket science if the law is written down in front of him.......................... so basically he isnt a hunting related barrister as no matter what the situation was and where it was he cant be hired......... i thought a barrister was an all rounder on a certain subject and would be there as a hunting related specialist.
