  2. National Lampoon's Animal House inspired me as a kid which was a shame as I ended up spending most of youth pissed up and in trouble Nothing's changed much... 5. Big Daddy's brother Max owns a farm next door to one of my permissions. I chat with him sometimes when he's out walking his dogs. He must be in his 80s, I guess but I wouldn't want to spill his pint. Big fella!! I'm also related to Giant Haystack, apparently. We hail from the same part of Ireland and have the same surname. Small world!!
  6. Just to add, John, the triggers on those are pretty straight forward to work on, it's the 45 and later 50s that can be a right pig. Good luck with it, mate

  8. I don't know, Simon. The land between Ian's house and the quarry wouldn't be any good IMO. Too close to a main road and as you've said, there's the footpath at the base of the valley and there's also the nature reserve to consider which has public access too. What about the land on the other side of the road, over by the beat store? Or on the other side of the village towards the old railway? He's a few fields that have been left fallow over there. I really don't know, mate. Have a word with Ian and see what the score is. He's got 1250 acres to choose from so maybe he could let us

  10. http://www.gunspares.co.uk/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=24318&cat=707+Mk2 Is this any use to you, mate? I think it's basically the same gun. Cheers.
  11. It'll be interesting to see what comes out of this, I hope something can be pulled together. I've three premissions of my own but sadly I'm not allowed guests on two of them and the third one's tiny... Finger's crossed!! Cheers
  12. Hi, Chris. JS Ramsbottoms may well be worth a look, mate, they do a decent range. I have one on one of my own scopes and it's spot on Cheers.
  13. I'd be well up for that, Peter I missed out on Davy's last do because I just couldn't afford the fuel at the time and Simon was in the same boat as me... It's great being your own boss What have you got in mind? Do you have a potential venue? Cheers.
  14. It can't be done, Matt. I don't understand the physics of it but Co2's stored in a liquid form in the bottle and it's something to do with the fact that when the temerature drops below about 5 deg C it becomes a lot less keen to be a gas so the reaction slows down hence the sudden drop in power.
  15. Hi, mate. I think the lad was asking about carbondioxide powered guns not pre-charged air. There's not a long wrong with Rapids, cracking rifles Cheers. Why won't it let me edit my post?? I ment to say not a LOT wrong with Rapids Hey ho....

  21. Hi, mate. If it's new give it a little time to bed in and it should free up a bit give some time and a little use. Failing that, try a very small amount of silicon oil to lube it with. Don't use WD40 or mineral oil as they'll rot the 'o' rings. Cheers.
  22. Nicely done, Jasper I wonder what desperate measures the pillock will try next to gain access to the forum??
