hi lads
well heres my 2p worth when you apply for a special licence it takes about 4 weeks to get it granted and they will only be granted to professional qualified people or registered pest control companies/local authorities even then you wouldnt believe how much HSE is taken into account as well as other options (this is also part of the licence shooting is always a last option all other measures must have been tried)before they are granted a licence to shoot the birds this is why the local council might not have done anything they cant until they get the licence is granted IF... yo
hi mate
well it all depends on how much you have to spend ...ive always had springers in .22 my last was a pro sport (i wish i still had it )with springers you buy the gun and pellets and sights then off you go the only other cost is more pellets and gear you need when it needs a service
with pcp you buy the gun then you need some sort of pump or bottle, sights, silencer, and pellets so unless you buy a complete 2nd hand set up you'll need to double the price of your gun ie 249 for the gun then another 150/200 for accessories .one of the problems i had when i was converted from .22 spring to
bivvi bag you must be getting old tony all i use is my combats that i normally wear then find a spot and lie up just remember when bugs does show himself make very very slow movements and take your time

cheers sib your right about the silencer buddy there is a massive difference without it
shay to be honest mate the only reason i camped was the weather it was a warm evening a little over cast with about 10mph wind gusting at times im really starting to enjoy the 510 s well
atb gary
mate please dont take this the wrong way but to be honest i wouldnt bother it will probably cost you more to get it threaded than you paid for the gun ...what might be a better option was when you get the iron sight off try and get a slip over silencer it saves having to thread the barrel is is probably alot cheaper .. the iron sights are either a perminate fixture or probably held in place with a small grub screw

hi lads
well recently ive had a change of heart instead of going out in the dark and lamping for a few hours ive taken the lazy option started "camping" and am i pleased i stuck it out with the s510 it took some getting used to but the results are starting to show .
my recent adventure started after the wife dragged me around the shops we got back about 2pm and by 3 i had an urge so off i went now wor kid decided to go camping (the other type ) you know tent and stuff he needs to get his priorities sorted lol
anyhow i got to the permission and set up camp right in the middle of 4 set's a
Don't you guys think this young man is turning into a very ethical and descent hunter?
The kind of young blood that will be a truely great asset to the hunting and vermin/pest control world
I've seen him ask questions and learn a lot from the rest of us and he will be (and indeed is already) handing out good sound advice to newer members of our community.
Nice one Aaron, you are comming along perfectly young man despite your cheek of us elders :glare:
