  1. Erm, No, I swear Officer! Where did you hear that? Well if you saw me with saw in hand, Sawing huge sides of Beef ribs apart to more manageable sizes for people, You'd think that aswell. Hubby has commented many times on how well I could dispose of bodies with the speed I saw through lol Is your husband Sweeney Todd? Seriously, I wish I lived nearer ,thats just the supply I need Inan

  3. When coursing was legal I used to bike my saluki x around where I live ,had a run in with a woman who has a retired Greyhound ,she told me what I was doing was cruel ,I pointed out that the dog loves the bike, she said it was starved I pointed out her Greyhound was as fat as a pig,we parted on less than friendly terms .A couple of days later I got a visit from an RSPCA officer ,young girl,a bout 20 . She asked to see my dogs ,I told her she had no right to see them but as I had nothing to hide she could ,she came in ,and I showed her my three, then she asked to see my starved greyhound,I explai
  4. When you consider the blood lines of this dog and the fact that Studs of comparable breeding are £500 a pop the price isnt dear Tommo has been up front about the reason for selling,I met him recently genuine bloke, some one will be getting a well bred dog ready for this season .Hope you get a good working home for the dog Tommo ,one that can do it justice.Inan.
  5. gilly, they get put in the freezer, with their fur coats on, but minus their feet(get more in that way) leaving the fur on, means not having to worry about freezer bags, the fur stops them sticking together, roughly one full size rabbit is enough to feed each night, so the rabbit is taken out the night before, placed in a fly proof bag to defrost by the following evening, 6pm ish, I then skin, de-head (hobs get head) and chop the carcuss up into portions, to then divide between all the ferts, some get a little more (jills with kitts) and some get a bit of biscuit added Glad you got a few S

  8. Miles You know your bloodlines!,was on Tommy's site last night.apparently Deacon was a Windswift Saluki, they had a good coursing reputation at one time.Inan.
  9. January Jack was a coloured dog ,lots of wind with a distinctive style of running ,a goalkeeper type, herding his hare out into the field.I think a guy called Ian Glover from Ross on Wye owned him,I have seen a couple of his offspring run ,think I have one on video they ran in th same "thinking"style as Jack ,a mate of mine in Huntingdon has a very decent bitch that was sired by him,she is getting on now but has earned her corn over the years.I beleive Tony Howley may have used the dog over one of his bitches ,not 100% about that though .
  10. Lovely kits Stubby ,and very well looked after I might add, thanks for the mesh today Steve ,you are a top man ,Magwich will be over with the rest of the rabbits soon. I forgot to ask,any chance of some more chicken mince?
  11. Fetching good money now ,they tell me ,up to £3.50 its the fashionable meat to eat apparently. As a poster said the little sods can bite a bit ,one of my old dogs took a nasty nip right through the lip .Decent grub ,Ive tried it rather good!
  12. Blokes been evicted ,neighbours complained about the howling, and the pissing up there car was the last straw.
  13. Could just be , think I'll leave it alone.
  14. There are a couple not too far from you ,one in Notts and one in Yorks.
  15. Ive allways found them to be so.I try to avoid running a pup on greens ,I usually get him on a bit of rough grass or set aside ,to give him and edge and some easier catches.
  16. If you want somehting to do in the summer, but make sure the dogs are muzzled ,I wouldn't lure course mine ,Ive noticed a few of them that do it start to yap when they are watching, not a good habit to encourage.
  17. Good choice for lamping ,if you are talking about rabiits.
  18. Edward Cook ,who writes the rabbiting section in the Sporting Gun recommends soaking them in Cuprinol.
  19. Pest control tonight Steve ,should solve your meat shortage!
  20. I agree with Magwitch on this one,and also think Stubby should be moderated. With Magwitchs .22 Rim Anshutz.
  21. I think you are missing out another category of ferret owner, Stubby, the serious show owner. Those who take loads of ferrets to loads of shows in the hope of coming back with lots of pots. Then if their ferret wins they claim that their offspring come some sort of fancy champ and charge fancy prices IMO a lot of the demand for fancy colours is created by the show circuit. Just like Crufts popularises different breeds of dog and leads to breeding for extreme and often unhealthy traits Stubby's got loads of Rosettes,he buys them wholesale.
  22. You did give me the finger though thats not nice............ Especially if you have very big fingers!
  23. Best night ? 2 with 3 dogs. What a night! fair enough they did have myxie and there was rabbit fencing round the field ,but the three dogs ran well.! did the dogs have myxie two in one night Yes both had myxie but the dogs ran well never had as good a night again.
