Just finished the second volume, really enjoyed it ,all the more for knowing, or having met several of those mentioned in it. Some great tales by some top coursing men, with no bullshit added. Mr Darcy has an adept way with getting the best out of his interviewee , getting the background of how they started in the game, and unobtrusively drawing the information, and excitement of past days and runs from them so that they can be re-lived again. My copy was bought for Xmas , but I couldn't wait and delved straight in ,excellent stuff that kept me gripped form cover to cover well done Aut

An honest post that deserves a positive result ATB . -
I saw Spindles run when she was a young bitch. It was the day Midnight won the CALENDAR CUP. She looked a tidy youngster,I remember Willie saying " she should make a decent bitch".

Strong looking little stinkers ,who are obviously not going short in the quality grub stakes. -
The lad's giving a heads up to those in his area ,seems a decent thing to do.Its not really funny when you come home and your dog is gone .Old Mac, a friend of mine recently experienced it for the second time , he didn't crack jokes. I appreciate the heads up I do. losing a dog to some thieving scum bag must be heartbreaking but come on nobody lost a dog . If I offend anyone that has had a dog stolen I do apologies if not for fork sake lighten up Fair enough but no on else thinks it's funny.

Frank Sheardown there's a name from the past.I used to go coursing with him in the long ago. Nice old fella. He must have been gone a good few years now.

The woman gave her child to Roma's ,she herself has 10 children and was living on a Roma site, I think there is a good chance she is a Roma herself.

I'd like to commend all those members of Lurcher Link, and those that helped them ,judges, stewards ,slippers, etc for struggling on in very adverse conditions on Sunday. Lurcher Link is a very good cause and it is only the dedication of those who support it that enables them to do so much good . Those who helped and those members of the public that braved the elements to support the show all deserve a pat on the back for doing so.Let's hope next years weather will be kinder.

Thompson is top ten rated not a great but hardly a journeyman.

I doubt this is kosher , it would be a stupid match for Price right now.imo, Chisora is rejuvented and at his fittest ever. Price needs a couple of easy confidence builders first, problem is time is not on Price's side.

Ive been saying for years a lot of " our generation " (40,s/50 year olds ) boxing followers have an untrue image of Tyson as a fighter for that exact reason......as impressionable youngsters new to the sport many people will of been blown away by the sensational impact Tyson had on boxing and that stays with you over time.........without sounding like a snobby f****r i dont have the hero worship attitude to Tyson a lot of people have i see him as being in the right place at the right time with the right style to make an impression......as a purist i wouldnt put him anywhere near the top 20 fig

Did you watch Lewis' last fight? He looked f****d, and I reckon he'd have lost that fight it it hadn't been stopped for that nasty cut that he inflicted on Klitchko.. Lewis was nearly 38 in that fight, would you like to bet on a prime Vitali beating a prime Lewis?
-
I'll bet anyone on here a pint he doesnt fight again.I agree...........i think the whole David Price thing was probably a bit embarrassing for him and he maybe feels this 100 mill thing shows his worth.....without really having to do anything. What David price thing? Between the 2 Thompson fights didnt Lennox come into Price,s camp like a knight in shining armour showing him where he went wrong first time and how he will definately beat him in the rematch.........only for the rematch to be an even more conclusive stoppage than the first..........looking at Lewis standing around ringside

Absolutley spot on...he beat guys on there way down.....if he was fighting 10 years earlier he wouldn't have made it past Europe....proficient against mediocre opposition and one of ,if not the dullest Heavyweight champion ever....wouldn't cross the road to watch him.I cant believe anybody would want to watch this,he was boring then and will be worse now rather spend £15 on a tin of paint and a brush....far more entertaining Lewis was recognized as champion in 1993 , if he had been around ten years earlier, he would have faced. Champ Larry Holmes. 1.Gerrie Coetzee,[ kod in 1rd b

Four hours ago Boxing News estimated Lewis's net worth at $60.000,000, I doubt he will be seen selling The Big Issue.

It was a close fight but a just decision, imo US referee and two US judges ,the other a Mexican. The" robbery," was the draw with Holyfield.you a Lewis fan then No ,I'm not but I have eyes.
