  5. He was indeed but seems to be unable to converse about any missing literature Right just plowed through 10 pages to get to what's what. You sent me a PM which I ignored because I thought you had your wires crossed.Seems it wasn t you it was me! To confirm I have the book which I received from Fieldsportsman as a gift.I had no idea I was supposed to pass it on , that in fact it is a communal book. 7. I'm being bitter and a bully? Read back on this thread mate and see who starts on who first? I never mentioned anyone, innit was the one who pointed me out. It's not my fault he's an old man. No c**t gets as much abuse as me. Look at the mark brick thread, I'm the one getting all the flak. How am I a bully? It's simple, if you don't want me to answer back, don't try taking the piss out of me cos I will answer back. I've read the thread and inan said he seen lads in July out coursing and you jumped on him about why he didn't confront them. Since I've came back on THL it seems that you are mor

  12. I disagree in that the emphasis is now firmly on numbers caught rather than the quality of the runs. I ran on permission over 25 years ago , and some of the best permission in the country it was too.Ah well, I suppose I have my memories. The first time I was taken coursing in England was in 1959 I was 9 years old even then numbers were important because they sold the hares for half a crown as was and 3 shillings skinned I saw lads running smithfield collie x greys half a dozen lads and 2/3 dogs a piece they would walk the land for 6/7 hours so numbers were knocked over then in fact as reg

  16. their aren't many rabbits on the farm, and me and the farmer both eat a lot of rabbit in the winter, the point is not to get rid of them, but to control them so they are still there next year. i got no problem with people poaching, but what's the point in killing a pregnant Rabbit? Baw is just a professional shit stirrer, his only friend is that legend in his own kitchen Mark Brick. I was brought up to ask would you like someone doing that to you ? If the answer is no then don't do it to others. Too many wanabees and legends in their own minds on here nowadays . Its sad the way t
  17. I disagree. Numbers is good but quality shows ability. An easy catch is an easy catch and it's easy to get numbers if you have numbers to catch. You can only catch what's there.I judge a dog on how often it can go out and repeat its success. Most can have a good day, it 's the ones that have more good days than bad that are worth watching imo.
  18. really, you must been lucky, twice iv seen them kick and cut up a dog no probs no jelly in them legs, strong little feckers I've seen an experienced dog ripped wide open on them and last season a guy ran to help his Bull X out on one and ended up going to A&E with his arm and wrist ripped to the bone.

I ran on permission over 25 years ago , and some of the best permission in the country it was too. Ah well, I suppose I have my memories. a dog is judged mostley on what they have caught not how they caught it. A course is judged by how eventful it was, how good the hare was , how the dog coped with its ruses and dummies, fetching it back out of cover or hopefully boxing it off same.. Never heard anyone mention how great a kickup was, and thats because any decent animal should ca
  22. Not a season for rabbits, but seasons for hares and deer, either observed or not, depending on your principles I suppose.
