Well the BASC gundog judges and the first place trophies seem to think she was steady plus I can have her in the field and if a rabbit bolts, if I have a gun with me she will not chase it, take her out with the lurchers and it's a whole different job to her she'll try and catch anything :laugh:

Mines a staff and like peeps have already said if your dog is steady then it is a blessing taking them out with ya. Plus if shot quarry manage to get into thick bushes/someone elses land then the dog will fetch it back :laugh:

lol ma wee jrt pup took a nip off one of the jills the other day silly cnut stuck his nose through the mesh and as the jills have kits and this jill is one of last years so she's not a steady as the older girls she decided to tell him to piss off now he won't even look at 'em as he's disgusted by them :clapper:

Stop crying it's a work horse aint it For the scratches get some good quality stain and emery cloths (different grades) use the cloths before staining if you need to smooth. Polish after staining. For the dents depending on what wood it is try putting a cloth in boiling water, wring then place over then dent do this a few times it may raise them out Might be wise to wear ya mum's marigolds when wringing boiling water out of a cloth :laugh: Shroom
