Just doing a bit of this, started with my mum's side. I always thought that all my grandparents were pure north west England, Wales and Ireland. The DNA test was pretty clear on that, with NWE, Wales and Ireland markers only. Nothing Germanic or Nordic. Just traced back and both sides of my mum's line (grandad was Welsh and spoke it) ultimately all come from County Cork and Kildare. Earliest I've got so far is 1786. Bloody interesting. I was literally having a similar conversation with my Mrs yesterday. She was a lawyer in Honduras but needs to do the courses here to be able to practice in Spain. So right now she has a mediocre job that pays a salary and gives her the time to do the courses. Her friend who works at the same job, minimal education and sees the job as her future, not a means to an end. Nothing wrong with that but the difference is night and day and it's down to education and mindset. My Mrs was pushed to achieve, her friend wasn't.

I never said they did. You implied they did! I said we should leave it and join those countries that didn't sign up or at least implied to the fact.... anyone reading what I wrote without an "I know and have an opinion on everything" mentality completely understood.
