  1. Cats are recognised in law as domestic animal!! its when the they revert back to living in the wild ie; returning to a feral existance that they become a pest. if you have cats living on your land and they are feral?? you are allowed to control them!! and that means culling them by shooting or any other lawful means. To say a cat cannot be owned is a nonsense!! some people spend hundreds/thousands of pounds on a cat?? (personally I would'nt give them house-room) Anyone who knowingly or purposely kills some-one's pet moggie is up shit creek without a paddle if caught!! In my opinion anyone

  7. Depending on circumstances current legislation allows individuals who have served a prison term, provision to hold a shotgun certificate?? We at the Scottish Association for Countrysports have a member sentenced to an 18 month custodial sentence over 20 years ago, who will be shortly in receipt of his shotgun certificate. Charlotte!! you tried to help a dog in distress therefore thats a point we'd all act on the organisation you contacted are a waste of space and in my book should be closed down as they destroy more healthy dogs they can re-home elsewhere?? you made a deciscion based strictly on the welfare issue re: the dog, for that you should be commended Find a Lurcher rescue like LB's and donate your £5 pounds a month to that Good luck Tom
