i got a hard blood whippet hes strong as owt and hes suprised me quite a few times now he was bred by dave slieght and i only paid just over a ton for him i wouldnt change him for the world but hes had quite a few skin tears now and its a pain in the arse when you put alot of work in to his fitness then hes off for a few weeks with the injury i personaly would get a small lurcher mate

ive got a day on the grouse tomorrow i had to sign a form with my details name address and ni number im working just now so wont effect me but i feel for some of the older boys theres a nice phesant shoot i go to every year and 3 of the lads have been going well over thirty year and now there worried they might not be able to make it also i think its giving the keepers a right old head ache -

loads of benefits to having a pup mate you bring the dog on yoursel i tryed getting an older dog in and this dog was good at his job but there was little annoying things about him that used to piss me of and i know if i had him from a pup i would of sorted it Get a pup and put the time in and reap the rewards next year

feck sake mate thats no good youve not had a very good spell of late my dads had 11 strokes now 5 major and 6 mini he was fit as hell he would do a 12 hour shift at torness then home for the dogs and straight out lamping he had his first at 26 and hes 56 now atvb and hope you have a speedy recovery mate

what i was getting at is thats a good bit of my permission wiped clean and i havent even started properly yet

had a shine last night was out for 5 hours had 1 run which to be fair the dog was very unlucky that he missed the rabbit was like a missile but thats all we seen on a good bit of my permission which is worrying as a couple of weeks ago i seen 20 odd rabbits out feeding during the day anyway i took the dogs out for a walk at 11 tonight and seen a lamp going over my permission i waited for abit and the lamp kept scanning i set off home straight away to put the pup in and then went over to where i had seen the lamp only to see a 4wd come out of the field then take off along the road 2 mins later

how would you be deciding the winner though is it just on numbers cause i can walk from 10 till 6 and be lucky if i catch or even see more than 5 rabbits but every one of them thats caught the dog has had to really work for
