sorry to jump your topic, but will my little 19" dog be able to jump a standard gate and how do i get her to do it? she compleatly refuses to jump over stuff she can jump onto some quite hight things tho.

if i had 2 6v 4amp battaries would that make it 12v 8amps if a joined them up?

same thing happened to me i was looking at some deer on the edge of a woods with my dog and lamp lol keeper came into the field followed me with the brightest lamp ive ever seen and fired a shot im guessing it was just up in the air. scary tho never run so fast in my life.

thats a good idea thos leather handles, has anyone ever actaly had any injaries due to runnng with a collar, or is it one of those things that one person has said and the whole world does it? lol

What slip lead to you guys use? I started just using a bit of rope through the collar loop, then someone told me this idea so that I did not have to run my dog with a collar (cant really explain the picture sort of shows it) is it worth getting a proper slip. I’m quite happy with the rope slip but are the proper slips much better? This slip is not the smoothest of actions.

ive only used them for a year, but my dad used the same lamp for about 16 years (and they still havent changed) he had no trouble with them, but i managed to burn out the input plug somhow so ive fitted a fuse holder now.

are the jack connectors no good then i have had no trouble with the comming out 2 easyly.

mine just went straight onto chicken wings at 8 weeks 3 or 4 wings a day to start with, dont know if i was doing [bANNED TEXT] but shes come out ok :11:

i put a tini bit of mastic around mine just to make sure it is water tight ish

any electricians here surly it would be easy to make a dimmer switch, what do you use to adjust the power?

Thanks for that I just did a quick session with her, instead of squatting and staying still and making a fuss, i ran away from her and she retrieved perfectly to hand all 3 times, I mite work on the hold command, I can see it would be useful. Anyway hopefully if I keep on at this she will retrieve to me when im not running away. Thanks for all your help all the best!

Hello, I have my dog lying staying healing and sort of retrieving the problem is she always drops it short about a meter in front of me, do I praise her or not for this? Up until now I have been. I was thinking she mite retrieve a live rabbit better because she can’t go dropping them short, but the few times she has caught a rabbit iv ended up going to her (my fault these first few rabbits got me a bit exited lol) cant wait to get her out this season! Correct me if im wrong but they should be ok on the lamp if you choose the [bANNED TEXT] night and they are not to lamp shy. You will probably be better of with a small whippet type as they have quite quick acceleration..

are the any good books with a bit more how to on lurchers? i like reading the stories but i also like to learn from books. i did see a book called the working lurcher ,the traditional skills by jackie draeford in the C/W. its probabaly rubish tho ???
