    When the season for ferreting starts again I would like to give long netting a try as most of the places I ferret are tricky to purse net and I normally just bolt to my mates lurcher but we end up loosing so many. Were is the best place to get long nets from? And would u recommend the quickset or the traditional. Also what do you use as steaks surely thre are cheaper alternatives to the ones you can buy and how many will a need for a 25 ft net? Thanks all the best

    somone i know keeps jack rustles but he thought had have a change and get 2 patterdale pups but one managed to kill the other. im sure this was just a one of but the one he has left is working with the hunt and hes spot on!, i have always liked patterdales and on the rare occasions I’ve been able to see them work they look brilliant. thanks guys but I’ve changed my mind again because i know a patterdale is what i will be happiest with. Just got to hope it doesn’t eat my house or kill the whippets (like to see it catch them)

    yeh shes fast enougth, shes [bANNED TEXT] up behind the rabbit turning with it so well just not picking up so fustrating. but im not going to give up!

    I owe you lot a big thanks to especially pegandgun , I have also caught my first few rabbits still experimenting with the height of the snares but im getting there, wont be long until I can feed my dog on rabbit al year round lol thanks all the best!!!

    ok it mite be a wile untill i can get her out again now because the grass is al to long to see any rabbits, but i dont want to leave it to late.

    thanks for all your help and dont worrie ginge i see what you were trying to say but 2 seems the better option, i will try and get 2 or 3 jills from the same litter, this my sound stupid but can i tell if they are jills when they are young? thanks again all the best rory

    yeh i plan to stay away from the plummers don’t worry lol maybe a border X Lakeland then, but i do like them patterdales but i have to start somewhere and i think i will leave the patterdales for the future so now its just a case of looking out for some good border X Lakeland and saving the pennies. thanks for your help all the best rory

    thanks mate i mite think about a patterdale only thing is are they ok in the house im still stuck at home with parents because well im only 16 so dont think ile be moving out for some time lol iv heard horror stories of them chewing through walls, but im sure with a bit of discipline it will be ok
