  1. presuming a 40fp'er? It can be but it runs sweet and does just a good job anywhere between 20 and 30. i've been thinking about it for some tbh..just didnt fancy the 40 shots side to it.
  2. My rapid is FAC so unless I wind it down I don't get the shot count. Unregged I get about 40 shots before I loose the sweet spot. Cheers. owch! i use 300 ish and about 150 left...reged and tuned to about 11.2-11.6 depending on pellet.
  3. works out a bit cheeper in .177, but if you dont get on with it then its a no go... if you do, you'll like it. i couldnr get on with .22 over a few weeks..but thats me.(and posably the gun at the time).
  4. wait untill you drop one with a full crop at sunset, they fall like bricks and the chest bursts out what ever theyve gorged on..makes yu realise. spring time is like 1 woody one plant...2 woodies 2 plants..100 woodies 100 plants........thats every day btw!
  5. good stuff, super too. moxy..one thing about rapids is that awsome shot count, i dont think i could use a falcon again lol..35 shots per fill! eeek!!
  6. theres a couple sites on google about this, i've lost the addy's but no they arnt the same when you cut them in half.
  7. cheepo imax B6 at 2 amp max charge. theres a few about ona google.
  8. havent found a tail cap presure switch yet.. i'll be revamping mine with some innerds from whom ever at some point. scope mount, you'll need one of them two halved things, or i'm usuing an adjustable scope mount ring thing, but..its 31 mm wide so two cable ties and the top part the ring left off. the tail cap switch just screws out so should be very easy to swop over bits..wedgey it or glue it if needs be. it fits a 20mm led star in the front too.(using an led engine 10w IR in one at the mo no driver, plugged into a power box i'm playing at).
  9. think i found the one i'll be sticking with. about 4 hours on full 160 pace/yards on a dark wet night.(wazzes all over a logan 6v lamp lol) has modes with flashy naf flash but switch's on full (no memory), then click down to half or what ever, but with 4 hours..fff i leave it on full. change the metal retainer clip for the zoom with a O ring its peachy...(that green ring is illuminous lmao!) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310541159016?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 and these type batteries, theyre like a longer C cell. http://www.tmart.com/1pcs-SoShine-26
  10. get a speeker magnet and comb the area, as in the whole room. then it check under everything, and on every little ledge or crease.
  11. heres where two tests come in..distance groups and a chrono. i had some bisley magnums that had a 3 inch plus flyer group at 50 meter in an X2, in .51's, tried the .50's and wow, more shots and a better grouping all together.
  12. nip into your gun shop they usualy have a set up with a particular pellet.
  13. as you veiw a woody face on, theres a big fat chest looking at you, head just above sort of thing, if you hit that 'fat bit' its full of grit and feed, like a stone padded cusion, a lot of fly offs are because they hit a full one. aim just below it should drop it. from the side on, well..any where in the meat are you wanted to eat lol..from the back see the 'spine' best area is dead center the shoulder where the neck meets..they crack n roll over. pull one apart one day, come summer time a lot of woodies burst open the crops that full of whatever theyre eating. once you know where it
  14. two points i can think of are, geofs sugestion, some lenses are built to block IR, on most of them lenses thers a red ilter at one end or the other, or when you look through the lens on its own you'll see redish in it. tuther is is your light IR filtered, as in its narmal light with a IR filter on? if so and its an LED, dunt matter how briht there'll be naff all IR coming off of it.
  15. no need to worry about 10.5fp's... i was using it for months out to 55 odd yards on rabbit.(an exellent set up though..gun wise).
  16. you might bre able to guestimate the power and fps using chairgun and the drop at diferent distances (on the horizontal), same with the BC.
  17. there is the mildot way of working it all out, but havent the fogyist what it is, its basicaly knowing the drop and holdovers in a fixed mil dot value, it can all be worked out on paper or your head, so it doesnt matter how far you zero.. seen one bloke pick up my gun ask what the mildots were and what mag and didnt miss anything, he was proper 2 mile shooter though.
  18. three ways to do it, or 2 if you count two as the same. zero on the horizontal zero on the floor whilst sood but on horizontal ground or zero above the horizontal. all the ways have the same thing in comman, i.e. theyre slightly different in turms of all the other ranges. most use the horizontal leval with the gun method and go from there. which ever way you choose you'll find the angle of inclanation affects it, you learn the method your used to, or you pick one and get used to that. chopping and changing takes longer for you to find the pellet.
  19. check out the bits on an olson black IR led on the other forum..theyre worth the money.
  20. easiest route is a cam with at least 0.001 lux 0.01 on wards bare minimum. 'ir capable' 12 or 16mm lens for the cam. 'ir pass' not block. some box for the cam if needed, posably a tube for the box to dsa. poxy resin glue one torch in the IR veriaty. one mount for the torch. ebay 6800mah battery or 4800..cameras dont take that much neather do screens to run but you need enough power to last out. 1 reversing screen..about 15 quid some rubber tube or some such DSA (day scope adapter) and a power jack cable with two plugs one end ...and gaffer tape in case
