    the main distance you need to know is at its 'best angle' it goes further then...i've wacked woodies at over 300 yards legal limit..and yes i stopped a while back lol. it gets to a point where you aim at it, lift off the scope, lift more..and some more then fire, lower the gun and wait for something to happen. http://www.hawkeoptics.com/chairgun.html every one said try it, i say use it...go for it, then you'll know.

    it goes above the cross hair, but the higher the angle the more it does then it may come down a bit at the extremes untill your barrels at a true verticle where its actualy low as in off the bottom of the scope more or less. get a copy of http://www.hawkeoptics.com/chairgun.html have a play it will show you what happens when you change the angle of inclanasion. (or better still find a dead tree thats coming down and trim the twigs with your gun. but beware of your backdrop).

    the plyboard strips are glued with epoxy..i.e.fibreglass or carbon resins to glue sheets of ply for those colourfull very exspencive fancies.

    by law you have to 'manage' your land, thats to say if you pass a bowling green a farm land whatever and theres loadsa rabbits, you're suposed to ring and report it, some ones sposed to go and see (used to be deffra), if it is a problem then buy law they can be ordered to sort the problem, which, coincidently could be at a 25 pound an hour rate or more... thats why you dont pay to shoot vermin...it'd cost a packet for the pest controlers to do it. edit..the 'old laws' as in the ones thyre piddling about with now were there for a reason, one of the reasons is this case in particular

    the photograghy side is quite ermmm bad really, i can literally photogragh you in your bathroom from the road side..its up to you to not be a public obsenaty..thats the negative way to look at it. the posative way is from the road side i photogragh a crime in progress..or whatever to the good. law sais i can any way. now then, i set foot on your property, i take a few snaps of your gargage and you walking out with a lumpa wood in your hand, you cant do jack shit about it untill you say 'oi! stop taking photograghs!!' at that point legally i have to stop, but! you cant have them pics delet

    Just to pick you up on the first point here and I'm only talking about springers as I know feck all about PCPs. The acceleration to the pellet happens within the first five or six inches of the barrel on most guns especially UK spec sub 12. So long as the barrel has properly gripped the head of the pellet upon loading then that's good. The air blast will blow the skirt to size pretty much before the pellet's even begun to move down the barrel so at the low velocities that we shoot with the projectile's had plenty of time to sort it's shit out before it's left the end of the barrel.

    takes more air to get the same velosity/power on a karbine. longer holds distance better.. as long as its crowned and tuned properly for the barrel riffling and legnth.

    something to remeber when nipping on other forums, a lot of the locals regularlly get pm'd for all the juicey info from a person who's not even posted a hello yet...it does get tyresome and even pisses a few off lol.. be patient peeps ...

    regaurding range finders, hold out the extra 30 40 quid and make sure it has the inclanasion compansation.. i got one with out and even with my eyes going i can see its out lol.(looking up down changes the reading like a triangle..higher the height side the further the long edge..)
