    phone number

did have it but binned it long ago ... the guy try to say I did him over a few years back after I had two shots of semen off him, out of that I gave him my proven breeding male from my pair which was a good deal for two shots of semen mate..... the annoying thing is he bred alot of birds that came out with blind probably due to inbreeding, now I think about it it wasn't a good idea to use any of the semen out of his Goshawks ...

  7. bet that fooking hurt mate, don't think they like taking prisoners bear . I got done in the face the other year by a Goshawk I was flying the other year! must say it came a bit close to my eye but I just about lived to fly another day . that Redtail in vid looked a bit sick after the Pere drilled through it, they cut it after but it looked like it was on the way down....

I'll chase it up bud as I don't want to unde rprice it, think they must be hard to get hold of these days things could be better at the moment with one thing and another mate, think its going to be one of those years for me if this month is anything to go by. Hows things your end bud? cheers, Jasp
  12. unfortunaltly this is the case mate. bad press and media coverage has a big say in our sports... I thought this country had a overwelming Hunting community? many years ago I think this was the case but these days our freedom of speech and freedom to do the sports practiced for centuries have all but been taken away from us. think alot also starts in school these days too, my lad and daughter don't know anyone else who hunts in their school . when I was a lad I'm sure it was the same with you nearly all the lads I knew had a catapult or air rifle of some sort, many other lads also wou

  15. Just a general question to ask how much would one of these be worth? Its obviously walnut and chequed round the grip and forend, the one I have here is late 70's - 's and quite dark, its in fairly good nick apart from the odd blemish and mark in the wood. the reason I am asking is I'm thinking of sticking it on ebay but looking to start with a reserve? I'll get some pic's up if requested
  16. there was a point when I was bang into my shotty then it all went tits up in one year. I lost two lots of good qualty land to different shooting syndicates who not only stopped my shooting, both the hawking and fishing on one estate went tits up too.... Don't get me wrong its their call what they do when they lease a shoot, even the farmer seemed powerless to change anything probably due to the contract and money for the lease. remember bumping into the new keeper on there when I first took my hawk on there at the beggining of the season, he screamed up in his landy with the first words "w
  17. I read a article a few months ago headed "Where has all the shotgun certificates gone?" aparantly record numbers of SGC's are handed in or not renewed each year ... I can't remember the figure but there was a good few thousand handed/Not renewed in last year alone. even thought about it myself a few times as I can count on one hand the amount of times I get out with the shotty these days but its still nice to have a gun and not use it so much than not have a SGC and gun at all... must say I am getting the urge again lately with the amount of pigeons coming ionto the woods .........
  18. Ouch could be nasty .... needs finding fast before its strung up somewhere. Here's hopeing for its safe return youngo
  19. Top write up TD . sounds like a great time you all had roost shooting, credit to Paulus plus that dog looks a bit handy too mate I'm now looking forward to getting the gun out a few times over February... it sits in the cabinet all year and gets a dust down for a spot of roost shooting and perhaps the odd cock shoot before..........
  20. Spot on Big Balls nice to see a Redtail doing the business mate .... Jasp
  21. if its in the sun its got to be true ..... not a god article from a Falconry point of view. I wouldn't be surprised we don't hear far worse somtime in the future when you see some of the badly handled and reared birds being flown....
  22. I'll speak to him soon via email and mention it to him . he was my fulltime flying buddy as we lived pretty close to each other, must say when he packed up and moved on alot of my enthusiasm went with him. flown with alot of decent lads since but had the most sport and enjoyment flying with Bob .....

  24. when he moved into Norfolk in the 90's I used to fly with him, we become good pals over the years and most years he will come and stay with us unless he is away abroad. his old finnish line of Goshawks was the purest of pure with some real belters coming out of his stable, you probably saw his old female fly "Belan"? she was a cracker in her younger days and was once witnessed flying a cock bird out of the top of a valley and over a church steeple in the lower valley, it was a long way down to carry that Pheasant when she finally bound to it, must of been a grand sight looking up and seeing th
  25. thats cracking stuff Paulus . do you still keep any cage birds? not sure if you know this guy. a pal of mine who first bred Goshawks in the 70's lived in Hinckley, Burbage. his name's Robert Haddon or Bob for short?
