Yep sorted it mate! I needed to take the leather down a tad to get it through the slots of the locator but its through now although still fractionly tight! It'll be alot better when I take a tad more leather off. I had some small buckles here so I used some of the leather I use for the Hawks and made a couple spare's up the width of the collar slots! they've come out ok and thankfully the ferrets can't get them off like the webbing one's as mentioned in some other posts, I'm hopefully going to give them a work out sometime this week! its the moment of truth then mate .... thats a result if I ever heard one LL . how true this is I don't know but a lad adviced me if giving this to the ladies not to take it the same way as the guys! the advice was to dust it and rub it into/onto parts that are stimulated the most , he recons he does it this way and 99% of the time the ladies hit the ceiling ....

None mate! over the years I have shot a good few head of quarry to fill the freezer with steel shot but all has been fine, I never really found much shot while chopping food up and if I did all the shot was complete. Neil Forbes did a peice I read somewhere! and he mentioned steel shot was fine for Raptors .... ATB Jasper

I picked up a Ferret Finder MK3 up a few weeks back secondhand from a lad but had a few problems with it switching off, somedays it was fine and other times the only way you could switch it off was removing the Battery, the next thing which went wrong with the Battery being removed so often one of the terminals snapped! the final option was to contact DEBEN even though this Locator was well out of Gurantee.... I emailed them and explained the situation and was replied to within the hour telling to to return the Locator back to them with a cheque for £10 to cover the Inspection fee and pos

I use the steel shot Spar for a good few years and its no problem . I heard loads of crap in the past about the steel shot f*****g the barrels up but beleive me mate its bollox! The shot stays in the Wad cup until it left the barrel so no shot comes in contact. The other problem I had with steel is its obviousley lighter than lead and lacks the same energy reducing the range, so I was having to come down a size and up a couple of grams! I put a post up about this before xmas about a mate who recomended trying some! the stuff he has was "Silagra" but works the same as Viagra, the advice was I only need to take Half or quarter. All I can say is I took one a good half hour before Beddy bye's and they're pretty Impresive ! I certainly have no need for them but all I can say in a nut shell is even when you have finished you can go straight into round two without loseing it . Hows it going SF I know mate and you're bang on! sometimes though you can try and explain things in the best way possible and it doesn't get through. the guy Bob was only trying to help and spoke sense and was savaged for it! I totally agree Bob How this method can be conceived as ripping loads of weight of a bird is beyond me? The guy is only saying to give it one chick a day until SOME weight has come off her until she feeds off the fist, How the hell anyone thinks they are going to Mann a bird before it feeds off the fist with it bateing about everywhere is beyond me! you may get away with it with some Harris's taken up earley because of their gregariouse Nature! but if you take up a P/R Gos of say 10 weeks and think you're going to Mann it without getting a fair bit of weight of it you're in dream world...

Sounds like you're going to have some fun Perry . its got to be the right place for a Goldie way up north! I can't see how people can get the best out of them flying on the flat plains. I'm sure you'll Have a good one with Lee on the 27th mate too. Defra and the RSPCA will go to any measures to frame someone up just for a conviction! its good when it all back fires on them after they have spent thousands on a case, there's a couple of lads I know of who was raided and had some seriouse shit off them in the past and both innocent everytime. Hello Chris I spoke to Garth the other evening about the fourth coming breeding season and he mentioned he's known you for a good few years . He's a good gennuine lad Gary and straight as they come! there's alot of breeders and falconers who will come out with all sorts of crap to either sell a bird or how wonderful their birds are in the field and 99.9% of the time its untrue, with Gary you get what he says it is.... I did some ladfill work in the 90's! the money was fairly good but I was working in croydon and spending 5 days of the week on a caravan! plenty of perks though as you wouldn't have beleived the stuff they dumped on this 500 acre site! they would dump cased of lager just because one bottle was broken and it wet the rest of the labels, plenty of other stuff their too, I could have made my wages again with the stuff of there selling at car boots ... apart from that I certainly wouldn't work on a landfill doing hazzardouse waste! only household. the NBC used to be run by a guy called john dix

AMEN! I tried saying this on a previouse thread which kicked off but it fell on deaf ears! I hate the thought of some older members chucking their Membership in because they felt forced to pay! alot of these people were the backbone of the site when it started. hopefully its all sorted now and people now know the site is still FREE with the odd change here and there on the classfield forum ....
