  1. they feed them shite because think they are not going to get the money back for the ferrets. If your feed them propper stuff theres no money to be made from breeding ferrets. Too many unwanted ones anyway i cant understand folk.
  2. i like that! very nice you could put a ramp upto the top of the coop against the wall or a tube.. or a big hammock going across from the coop to make most of the height space or you could put a wooden plyboard floor on the coop and fix it up in the air to the back wall! more space! sorry just suggestions.
  3. Thats great they will love that
  4. The vest harnesses are shit they will probs slip out of them. H style ones are best. I dont know how people walk them cos mine go where they want lol
  5. cant realy say but its not forever so just grin and bare it lol! If she isnt drawing blood or locking on the shes probably playing just too rough lol! Also if you are cautious around her or scared she will sense it and more likley to do it more. Make sure they're always full up on meat, let them out for a run about and let them tire out before you start picking them up. I usually just feed bits of meat from my fingers if your brave lol.
  6. one of my jills has got something similar. Apart from it hasn't grown. I took her to the vet and they said nothing to worry about its just a wart. Could it be where another ferret as nipped her too hard? I would just get it checked.
  7. Well I buy a few brands and mix them. You do pay for what you ger if you look at the ingredients. For example vitalins first ingredient is fresh chicken where others it will me chicken meal or meat and animal derivatives
  8. Stuff for them to do. A large run. Hammock maybe. Pot do bowls for food Good pet safe disinfectant. Tubes. And atleast get two ferrets!
  9. I agree with greyrake cant go wrong with lino on the floor and blankets for bedding!
  10. What you do id spray it on some rubber gloves and rub it into their fur you dont need much its good stuff!
  11. Well what I would do is treat them all with frontline spray. Get rid of all the bedding. Give the hutch a good clean and spray some frontline down any gaps etc in the hutch where they may be hiding. Use dust extracted shavings what they use for horses theyre better. Use shredded paper for bedding or blanket or two in this weather.
  12. Eye hooks! although I dont know what you mean by a plastic hammock. Get a pillow case tie 4r peices of string to the corners amd get some curtain wire hooks from wilko 20p.
  13. I agree take him out of the ferreting box! If hes that weak bribg him in the house surley he cant go far. Keep him hydrated little and often and go steady with the syringe dont pump it down him quick

yes do mine every 3/4 week, they are on concrete and nails still get long.
  15. I found one this morning on one of mine on his eye. So out come my tick picker and frontline sprayed the lot of them. I hate the bloody things..
  16. why are you using it, have you seen fleas on them? Not sure I would risk it, only used frontline spray.
  17. Well I have a court for mine but two of them live in this, its a cheap hutch I bought with a run attached. Its quite good actually, it unclips off the hutch so i can get the litter trays out the bottom. I made the run & if i can do it most will be able to lol. But i would go for a chicken coop if not.
  18. Mine have got trays of water. Wet towels. Ice bottles. I spray them with the hose on fine mist they start dancing about lol
  19. what I think with a lot of people as well they seem to mistake a nip for a bite lol! I find if theyre full bellied, handle them everyday. I let kits nip/nibble my hand in play as its their way of playing.
  20. Mine love chilling in their hammock in this weather.. I've got some bought ones, also use pillow case's and "holdon" clips to make an instant one!
