  1. castration here and jills spayed so they can all live together fine and they dont smell bad.
  2. main thing is to keep him hydrated, syringe water to him, realy steady though giving him chance to swallow. Usually most vets have a number on the answer machine that you ring for out of hours.
  3. No need for tinned cat, dog food, full of jelly and crap. Ferrets wont get anything from it..
  4. Meat is best diet, i feed rabbit, pheasant, chicken wings, mince, fish and a mix of dry food with raw eggs as a treat and lactose free milk every now and then.
  5. I would ring round, some vets are choosing to ignore the instructions and still doing the jill jabs charged per ferret and not by the whole bottle.
  6. I wouldnt use the supermarket stuff, you only have to look online to see it has caused problems with cats/dogs which is what its licensed for never mind ferrets..
  7. Everyday, throw anything out the next morning what they dont eat. And if im im feeding raw i take biscuits away..
  8. no i wouldnt buy that, you wont be able to clean that properly what about theese, i dont know what they are like though lol http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5ft-Double-rabbit-Guinea-pig-Ferret-hutch-/270907942278?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Dogs&hash=item3f135f2586 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hutch-N-Down-XL-5ft-Wooden-Two-Tier-Rabbit-Hutch-/400219038942?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Small_Animals&hash=item5d2ee9e4de http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5ft-Double-Two-Tier-T-G-Fully-Assembled-Rabbit-Hutch-/200886667026?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Small_Animals&hash=item2ec5c74712
  9. Some of mine have never been bathed, just makes them smell more afterwords and its not healthy for their coat. If its cos of the smell, get them neutered and keep them on clean bedding and its minimal.
  10. Have u rang local ferret rescues. Also ring all vets they have a lost and found book.
  11. You have to have a license to keep mink. I know someone who has one and they they not something you can tame.
  12. I wouldnt put any chemicals in their water. Just keep changing the bottles and bowls. Ive heard of people using those heat pads from pets at hone underneath the water bowls which is a good idea i thought.
  13. No not that i would breed anyway but i wouldnt risk loosing one of them.
  14. Ive heard people giving bits of cucumber in the summer, not me though. They will drink as much as they need if they have bowl of water. I use bottles aswell incase one of them tip the bowl over. But they normally just use the water bowl, as they can get more water, easier.
  15. thats generous, cant wait to see the court mate!
  16. If you use indoor cages outside make sure theyve got a box to go in with loads of bedding because the indoor cages are obviously quite open, fasten a blanket round 3 of the sides and top.
  17. I havnt got mine in the house but I know people who have loads in the house. If they are neutered then that cuts down oils produced in the coat which makes them smell. The thing is like with any animal, to keep them very clean, as soon as you see shit you shift it. Use good disinfectant to get rid of smells, make sure the cages are wipeable. You can use litter freshener in their littertrays. Best thing is to use fleece bedding, if they are on clean bedding the conditioner on the blankets rubs off onto them makes them smell fresh, no need to bath them or anything. A few I know just use a good
  18. Well get normal ferrets then. Muzzling them is just cruel.
  19. Yeah they need a run to burn energy off and tubes etc.
