  1. Many Happy Returns xxxx
  2. .. Is the bottom b/t a Billy descendant? looks so bloody like him!
  3. Good luck with the pups, hope you have fun with them.. I guess if they've been sold as just Border-type (or Border-cross), with a price tag to match, fair-do's... But if you've bought these pups as genuine bonafide pedigree Borders, you have been led a merry dance... Even more so if you've paid the going rate and been given papers for them. I hope it's the former... ATB Lilvixen
  4. Don't worry Mouse this boys an artist he's doing some drawings of his own. The book will feature all breeds including his speciality Plummers and some proper digging with Borders. Of course if anybody has any good pictures then feel free to PM him.
  5. It doesn't really matter what section it's in because fairly soon any book written by Pick and Shovel or Darcy will become old hat. I have it on good authority that Wink Hound is busy writting a book of his own. The working title is "Anything Darcy Can Do I Can Do Better!" :secret:
  6. Well done lads, nice fox. Just a note on the point of letting foxes run for another day. I take it you boys have read the hunting act and the people who are suggesting you let the fox run instead of killing it don't live in this country or are a bit naive. A lot of people worked hard to ensure that the use of terriers wasn't made illegal when the act came in, ensuring that foxes could be controlled to protect Game birds. That is the only legal way to use a terrier so how does letting it run help anybody? Everybody is entitled to their own opinion but why encourage young keen lads who are chuff
  7. About 5" in West Suffolk, still comin down
  8. Taking his mates out saturday to follow round his hero.....

  9. Poor girl, sounds better off without him though... what about a Border Terrier? Or a Border x? I personally wouldn't recommend a Working bred Spaniel as a pet as they need to be worked... Don't like Labs either and we have one at the moment! Or a lurcher from a rescue centre?
  10. You should do a bit of research seeing as you claim in another thread that your 'thinking of taking up digging.' You seem to believe that any earth dog worth its salt, needs to be a hard mouthed killing machine. You'd be surprised at how much call there is for good baying terriers out there, once you get out away from the PC and into the real world of working terriers. Feck me, a sensible reply on this forum, well said
  11. Thanks valleylad & mattydski... I'll look into both of those and of course to winkhound for that recommendation although I thought we weren't allowed a share of your 'special place'?
  12. Thanks valleylad... I googled it, only to come up with The Kings Arms, Keswick.... Is that the one or if not, do you know what village it's in? Cheers
  13. Umm, yer not quite the theme we're after, as much as Winkhound would echo your recommendation..
  14. I'm sure it is annoying having to pay a fine like that simply for not clearing up after your dog, but how else are people going to be convinced to clear up? Simply saying "please" obviously isn't enough. I wonder how many of the protesters have children themselves? If they do, I really do wonder about them We've got 10 dogs and 2 kids and we manage to clean up after all them.
  15. Anyone? We're hoping to stay up near Windermere in February but want to find a nice friendly pub that does decent grub and rooms that you don't have to share the loo with a smelly family if poss! (done that before and it scarred me for life). It doesn't have to be in Windermere but within a 10/15 minute drive would be good, a hunting pub would be even better!... Cheers in advance...

    Spellings

Well I'm glad that's been cleared up, I didn't realise it was just bad spelling, I thought it was some cryptic code used to prevent outsiders from knowing what the hell folk were jabbering on about
  17. Won't stop pestering me for a Bichon pup (it's on it's way bruv, and no you can't use it for that, that's just wrong you perv)

  18. To be fair though Mouse he does need his hats specially made for him!

    help

Agreed, Norton is no use whatsoever... You don't need to pay for anti-virus, a common mis-conception. AVG is good, as is ANTI-VIR. Make sure you've got a Firewall too, I use Comodo. Another golden rule is never have 2 anti-virus programs on your PC. Run this on your PC - http://www.free-av.com/en/tools/12/avira_a...cue_system.html (paste it into your toolbar), should sort the prob out, good luck
  20. learned all he knows from the master, Mr Bigland, just a couple more generations and you wont tell their dogs apart

  21. me mams just been on the blower, had his picture on a flyer banning him from Pets At Home where she works, they're running low on gerbils

  22. FLIPPIN HECK. Since when did it say in the user agreement for this forum - thou shall not dare mention anything other than strictly digging terriers. FFS, this forum is open to everyone who joins, give this guy a break, it's entirely up to him what he does with his dogs and if you're not interested you just don't reply. Have you lot nothing better to do? Why the heck do folk lay into each other so much on this forum. No bloody wonder hunting is banned, theres so much in-fighting.
  23. I expect the "old boy" is a hunt terrier man, most of them are just too lazy to bother!
